"I LIKE TO USE THE HARD TIMES IN THE PAST TO MOTIVATE ME TODAY." ~Dwayne Johnson, University of Miami
Miami tonight, of five on the road this is two
(last night in Orlando--please no worse can we do).
The way to deal with Whiteside? AMIR FOR THREE!
All the Cs need is to make shots, rebound, play D!
Two early fouls on Crowder, AB to Turner alley-oop!
Steals! 21-6 run from our Celtics group!
Good things happen with Jerebko on the floor.
Odd: Miami has five lefties, at once, trying to score!
Turner is possessed, offense--defense, too!
On 67% shooting, Cs up 9 start Q2!
Gerald Green was in Green, he is no longer green
He even passed the ball, so rarely seen.
Turner steal! Control! Running the floor is DLee!
Heat a 12-2 run, mostly three after three.
Cs' TOs are mounting, but steals are, too!
Starting to see what Amir can do.
Third foul on Crowder, with Dragic he did trip,
Then helped Dragic up when he started to slip.
Third foul on Whiteside (no blocks). Wade's still a cry baby.
Turner's fave shot tonight? Steal from Wade? (smile) Maybe....
Cs up 6 to start Q3!
Amir steal! And AMIR FOR THREE!
AB coast to coast. Then AB FOR THREE!
(ugh) Blasts from the past from Wade we did see.
Fourth foul on Crowder; working alone is Wade;
Turner knows his game, in Chicago they played.
Heat a 14-3 run. AB FOR THREE!
Cs up 6 at the end of Q3.
Steal Olynyk, minutes for Rozier.
For Miami, it's Bosh's quarter--seems clear.
AB FOR THREE! CROWDER FOR THREE!
SULLY FOR THREE! Enough Wade for me....
Sully great hustle! Cs playing aggressive D!
Spectacular steal from Wade by AB!
Suddenly Miami's "hot," they are playing small.
Love Cs helping Cs whenever one does fall!
Yep, Wade's still a cry baby, at the refs he does yell--
No one ever calls a T on him--who can we tell?
Terrible call on Amir. Turner great steal and D!
Jerebko wow! Welcome Amir, you're officially a C!
Cs are great in the second of back-to-backs,
It is never (ever) heart our Team lacks.
In double figures, all the starting five for the Cs
Cs WON BY 10! MORE GAMES LIKE THIS...PLEASE!

"IT'S NOT EASY TO TEACH A CHILD HOW TO WIN." ~ Dikembe Mutombo
Cs at the Atlanta Hawks, "D. Mutombo Night" on TNT!
Hope, tho still without Smart, a better game we'll see.
Against the Nets, wasn't just Smart the Cs did lack--
We'll learn about our Cs, looking for a major bounce back.
Hawks Coach Budenholzer bumped a ref--just a fine!
Players are suspended for less, they can hardly whine.
Home court for RJ, played for Coach Dad, Georgia State,
Friends and his psychologist in the crowd! This kid's great!
AB first (and second) score! Crowder hard to the hoop,
Early silly fouls and TOs by this Celtics group.
Hawks an 11-0 run, AB FOR THREE!
Hawks crazy ball movement, great steal by AB!
AB FOR THREE! HUNTER FOR THREE! FUN!
Cs a 10-2 run, within 5 when Q1 was done.
HUNTER FOR THREE! TOs both teams we see.
One of the best passes? Off the head of D. Lee!
Cs great offensive rebounds! AB FOR THREE!
Crowder cut to the hoop, what a pass by D. Lee!
Hawks a 7-0 run, Cs within 9 start Q3.
Hawks continue their surge. IT FOR THREE!
AB FOR THREE! Need more points from IT!
Back to back to back forced TOs by a different C!
Schröder was taken down hard by D. Lee.
Replay looks like Schröder ran into his knee.
Good things happen with Jerebko on the floor.
IT is struggling. Cs within 8 start Q4.
Cs can't score! Too many shots out, not in.
Plus some missed free throws--hard to win.
Hawks a 17-3 run...I've lost track.
With Smart out can we get our mojo back?
Back to back fouls on Teague. Teams will find
No matter how hard they hit us we will grind.
A little dust-up between Teague and IT,
Coaches took 'em out. HUNTER FOR THREE!
No point focusing on the (down 24) final score:
We wouldn't have won with two quarters more.
13 Cs have been in the League five or less years.
Still getting over their big stage fears?
These Cs are young (not talking about James),
They'll age well together as we play more games!
Hope, tho still without Smart, a better game we'll see.

"EIGHTY PERCENT OF SUCCESS IS SHOWING UP." ~Woody Allen, Brooklyn Native
Cs are in Brooklyn, of a home and home, this is Game 2.
Brad says "It's a process"--the season, and team growth, too.
No Smart smarts (knee), the way he plays is all heart.
He's out for two weeks (or six)! AB will get the start.
Cs beat the Nets by 25, 72 hours ago.
Tonight the resolve and effort of the Nets will show.
IT pushing it up the floor, SULLY FOR THREE!
Nets the quick start we expected to see.
AB FOR THREE! Early Cs turnovers--four,
Nets taking advantage at their end if the floor.
AB great block! Plus, great hustle, great D!
AB FOR THREE! Hollis-Jefferson? Who IS he?
On just 32% shooting, Cs within 5 start Q2.
ROZIER FOR THREE! Amazing what ET can do!
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Nets' bench a 12-2 run,
Nets, with energy and urgency, getting stuff done.
Joe Johnson's having a night--Bargnani, Larkin, too.
AB FOR THREE! No foul IT? Cs within 17 end Q2.
Effort! Energy! For the Cs these are lacking,
Without Smart, the rim we're not attacking.
Cs (finally) hustling! IT FOR THREE! FOR THREE!
Two quick fouls, then hard to the hoop--ET.
Zeller is in, and running the floor.
AB FOR THREE! IT drawing fouls, need...more!
Cs zone. AB FOR THREE! AB FOR THREE!
From 22 down, Cs within 8 to start Q3.
Great things happen with Jerebko on the floor.
Cs in transition, bodies everywhere, AB score!
Cs need to pick up the D. Good minutes for RJ--
Works with a sports psychologist to help him play.
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Love IT/Olynyk style--
Half thru Q4 Crowder in, been out for a while.
Cs great ball movement! CROWDER FOR THREE!
OFFENSIVE FOUL ON CROWDER SHOOTING THE THREE??
That's how he shoots, he's not kicking his leg out--
You know it's an awful call when you can hear Brad shout!
We knew the Nets would show up, Cs' effort was poor
Until the end of Q3 and all of Q4!
AB FOR THREE! Cs have their most threes this game,
Cs were impressive (sort of), but where was the D? Lame....

"WORK LIKE THERE IS SOMEONE WORKING 24 HOURS A DAY TO TAKE IT ALL AWAY FROM YOU." ~ Mark Cuban (Cs forgot)
Cs are home vs. Dallas after their short trip out West.
Irony? After Cs game, McHale has ($$ and) a rest.
No surprise there, into the air he did shout,
As no Rockets joined the huddles when he yelled, "Time Out!"
Dallas connections: Crowder was there, not their style,
And the Mavs are coached by former C, Rick Carlisle.
Cs a 7-0 start, CROWDER FOR THREE!
Cs playing zone and very physical D.
Cs are getting in the paint, streaking IT and AB!
Two quick fouls on AB. AB FOR THREE! FOR THREE!
Carlisle thinks firing McHale is "preposterous," strange--
First call to McHale? Danny Ainge!
No matter who's on the floor, the Cs Bench is cheering!
On a very long list of what makes these Cs endearing!
On 52% shooting, Cs up 15 start Q2.
Great steal Olynyk, but three early fouls, too.
Hmm, phantom third foul on AB. TWO phantom fouls on Lee....
Dirk's an elite offensive player, slightly less so on D.
FACT: Mavs' Felton, Barea, Williams born the exact SAME day!
BOO! One ref in particular not letting the Cs play.
In Steals and Forcing Turnovers the Cs lead the League,
We have so much depth, hardly show any fatigue.
With 8 Steals, 7 different players, Cs up 9 start Q3.
Cs stopped moving the ball, and stopped playing D.
Mavs picked it up--tie--Cs' play did dip,
Til AB flew in for the loudest tip!
Mavs flinging themselves all over the court.
Aren't there fines for flopping? It's not a sport!
OLYNYK FOR THREE! AB FOR THREE!
CRAZY! Cs up 8 at the end of Q3.
Where is Jerebko? IT FOR THREE!
Now Coach Carlisle doesn't like the fouls for Big D.
Cs are jacking up threes, if only they would
Get back to the paint where they are so good!
Mavs took their first lead, minutes left, around four.
SULLY FOR THREE! Mavs stopping IT's score.
Finally Isaiah went hard to the hoop!
Olynyk fouled out. No more steam our Cs group.
CROWDER FOR THREE! Crowder great steal!
No quit in these Cs! Their heart is for real!
Sully double double. Free throws Mavs missed two,
IT stole the ball, lost it, Cs within 2. Boo Hoo....

ROCKETTEARS (ROCKETJEERS)!
Cs' West trip continues, in Houston tonight,
IT on Lawson, first player around his height!
SULLY FOR THREE! IT FOR THREE!
Harden can shoot--not much D.
Rockets have struggled, crowd's dismay has shown,
Then the players to each other have made their anger known.
So that's the Cs' goal! These Rockets shoot threes,
Their default mode--need great D from the Cs.
Crowder a huge charge. Our old JET we did see,
Only Reggie and Ray ahead of him with the three.
IT FOR THREE! Cs must rebound, less TOs, too,
Cs within 4 to start Q2.
Olynyk an "altercation" with Harrell--Olynyk a T.
Cs can't find their offense and have forgotten their D.
Sully, Smart great hustle! IT FOR THREE! FOR THREE!
When the Cs run the floor, no Rockets on D.
Zeller and Hunter in. Cs an 11-2 run.
When the Cs jack up shots, little gets done.
Who goes baseline and finishes at the rim?
AB! That's always been said about him!
Cs 15-2 run: CROWDER FOR THREE! AB FOR THREE!
Rockets were up 15, Cs (8 steals)--TIE start Q3!
IT steal, Amir block! DH12 held Amir,
To the basket Ariza because no one was near!
HUH? Amir fell to the floor, under him was the ball,
Jones grabbed ball. Three Ts on lefties the call:
On Jones, Harden and IT--silly waste of time.
Smart steal, Crowder to the hoop, stopped on a dime!
Cs steals galore! Crowder running! IT FOR THREE!
McHale's not happy with the Rockets' lack of D.
Three quick fouls on Turner. AB FOR THREE! FOR THREE!
Cs a 28-8 run! Cs up 19 end Q3.
AB FOR THREE! Cs passes, steals, score!
Rockets' body language says so much more.
Rockets' crowd their own team is booing--
Don't you love how great these Cs have been doing?
Rockets a 15-2 run, Cs young(er) kids need to win!
Cs had been up 30, ugh, Rockets closing in?
(Phew) Smart passed the ball the length of the floor,
That gave Zeller a chance to score.
When the Cs watch this film, they should be mad--
They let down, will get an earful from Coach Brad.
Cs BY 16, swept this West trip, CELTICS PRIDE!
This season promises to be a fun ride!

OKC's lead in the Association is resounding.

Turner had three fouls by Q2, minute one.
HUNTER FOR THREE! SMART FOR THREE!
Good to see Zeller in, a deserving player is he.
Crowder didn't get charge call, furious was Brad.
Calmed the guys down, said he'll be the one mad!
Korver's a problem because of his three.
IT FOR THREE! Credit Smart with great D.
Cs tough on the glass, the hoop seemed to have a lid,
No matter how much rebounding Sully and Crowder did.
On 34% shooting, Cs tied end Q2.
MAKE THEIR SHOTS is what the Cs have to do!
Cs great hustle, but they're (still) having no luck.

PACEless AND SPACEless
vs. Pacers: looked worse in person, however bad on TV.
Refs wouldn't make a call in favor of a C.
If they did, in the score it wouldn't show.
The Cs could hardly make a free throw.
If you feel bad and your spirit dips:
The Big Boy Mavs beat the Childish Clips!
The good news? The Cs were all bad at the same time.
(no jinx) We can only get better! So ends this rhyme.

CELTICS WIN IN MILWAUKEE--NOT DEBATABLE!
Third straight game (toe) without Marcus Smart,
Maybe Friday, vs. Atlanta, he'll do his part.
A "home court" for Crowder, he went to Marquette--
Will he unseat Doc and Wade as their best player yet?
Bucks an 8-0 run, very calm is Brad--
Finally Sully (off the great game he had)!
Monroe has range, the Greek IS a Freak,
Let's hope our Q1 TOs have reached their peak.
CROWDER FOR THREE! Sully's playing great D,
Good at both ends, "It's conditioning!" smirks he!
ET's getting involved each time the Cs score--
Good things happen with Jerebko on the floor.
After being down 12, Cs tied start Q2.
RJ FOR THREE! RJ is rebounding, too.
IT FOR THREE! TURNER FOR THREE!
Love the intensity and IQ of Lee.
Olynyk took a charge, for the Greek that's two.
Bucks a 6-0 run. Love what IT can do.
SULLY FOR THREE! Cs a 7-0 run.
Cs up 4 when Q2 was done.
A thing of beauty, to Sully from ET.
Bruised lower left leg--out for the night is AB.
Longer than half court, ET made the shot!
He was fouled first, count it did not.
Remember Bayless? A hardworking guy....
Cs hustling, rebounding, Sully is why.
A struggling IT yelled at the rim!
Free throws went in--that worked for him.
JEREBKO FOR THREE! CROWDER FOR THREE!
The leading stealer in the NBA? Crowder is he!
Cs played some zone. Cs an 18-2 run.
Cs up 17 when Q3 was done!
RJ is clever. Keep your eyes on Lee!
Bucks' Middleton, Bayless can shoot the three.
Even with IT getting the start,
Cs Bench is impressive, doing its part!
A Rozier appearance, for himself RJ did well,
What rotations work? It is hard to tell!
Cs snapped the Bucks' win streak, by 16 they did--
I'm glad, not that crazy about Jason Kidd.

"PASSION RUNS DEEP. GREEN RUNS DEEP." ~ CELTICS AD
The Wizards are in town, Smart's still a no-go,
Precautionary boot on his mysteriously hurt toe.
Beal went from the locker room to an alley-oop,
Amir answered with a tip-in for our Cs group.
Wiz crazy tempo, Cs playing with no fear.
Great offense Amir, Sully! Glad Crowder is here!
Sully: rebounds, took a charge and he did score!
SULLY FOR THREE! Has he played like this before?
IT FOR THREE! Best Q--the Celtics had fun!
24 points in the paint! Cs up 15 end Q1!
Don't underestimate ET! TURNER FOR THREE! FOR THREE!
Aggressive, scoring, rebounding, off the Bench, is D. Lee.
Rozier's first hoop in the NBA!
This is how Olynyk should always play.
ROZIER FOR THREE! For a rookie, good D.
Wiz a 14-0 run. Crowder! OLYNYK FOR THREE!
WHAT A HALF! Cs UP 22 END Q2!
I am nervous about what the Wizards can do.
AB FOR THREE! Wiz running. AB FOR THREE!
SULLY FOR THREE! SULLY FOR THREE!
Sully to the floor! Hustle play with IT,
OLYNYK FOR THREE! OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Olynyk great block! Cs up 26 start Q4!
Good things happen with Jerebko on the floor.
ET's creative! Olynyk's doing it all--
Let's decide that THIS GAME is CELTICS BALL
(Except the Cs have no field goals halfway thru Q4--
Still they're playing great D and running the floor)!
With 18 steals, Cs tie the most so far this season,
Tonight aggressive, inspired, that's the reason!
Late appearance for Zeller, along with RJ,
In the last game that's how they did play.
NO!! Crowder is hurting, helped off the floor by some Cs,
No foul was called, with a Wizard he banged knees.
Minutes for Mickey, always ready to play!
BY 20 POINTS THE Cs WON the day!
Cs are off til Tues., hope everyone feels good.
They played tonight like we all hoped they would!
Precautionary boot on his mysteriously hurt toe.
Beal went from the locker room to an alley-oop,

CLOSE, BUT NO CIGAR (ugh)
Pacers--first away game, Smart is a no-go,
He doesn't know how he sprained his big toe!
Sully, IT, Amir start, not Zeller, not Lee;
Though he hurt his finger, we will see AB.
AB FOR THREE! IT in transition--
With Smart out, he's in the PG position.
Tonight Olynyk was Man Number Six,
Amir's aggressive and energetic in the mix.
AB FOR THREE! Cs turnovers galore.
Rozier showed up early on the floor.
Cs not rebounding, Pacers a 17-7 run,
On 30% shooting, Cs within 7 end Q1.
No such thing as a 50-50 ball--
Along with rebounds, Pacers get 'em all.
Good things happen with Jerebko on the floor!
Lee, finishing in the paint, found a way to score.
All that ET does isn't shown as a stat:
D, hustle, shooting...well, TOs, there's that.
For his first NBA hoop, RJ FOR THREE!
Crowder's inbound pass: HOOP (turnover)--feet? Ninety-three!
Both teams careless, Cs within 6 end Q2.
CROWDER FOR THREE! (Budinger's blond, G. Hill, too)!
"Are you coaching him?" asked Abby Chin of RJ's Dad.
(with pride) "He has many coaches, he just needs one Dad."
Foul trouble for Paul George. SULLY FOR THREE!
Pretty pull-up jump shots by ET, and AB.
Aggressive Lee in the paint! Cs within 1 start Q4.
Cs in the middle of the paint, then they can score.
Lee's been great off the Bench! IT FOR THREE!
In '46, Connors broke the backboard--"The Rifleman" was a C!
Ball movement! ET FOR THREE. Cs an 8-0 run.
Cs in the penalty when half of Q4 was done.
Pacers a 7-0 run, stopped by ET, AB.
Every foul is free throws if you're NOT a C.
Great hustle Sully! IT FOR THREE! FOR THREE!
Ugh. Somehow Paul George got open for three.
AB FOR THREE! AB for the TIE!
Another scorer with IT? AB's the guy.
Ellis got the call by running into AB,
Didn't need to flail his arms--Cs in the penalty.
No call for the Cs, the game was done,
By two cheesy points the Pacers won....
He doesn't know how he sprained his big toe!
Sully, IT, Amir start, not Zeller, not Lee;
Though he hurt his finger, we will see AB.

GAME...SPREE!
The Spurs are in town, Coach Brad loves Pop.
Does the Lee, AB, Crowder, Smart, Zeller start have to stop?
Smart/Parker, Crowder/Kawhi--great match ups galore,
Almost three minutes in til a team (AB) could score!
Need loose ball effort by the Cs! Spurs a 7-0 run,
Both Teams are sloppy--COACHES not having fun!
FINALLY Cs made a shot! HOORAY for IT.
Cs played 10 players, Q1--minutes left, three!
On 26% shooting (yikes), Cs within 10 start Q2.
When Jerebko's on the floor, dreams can come true!
Olynyk good hustle, (finally) CROWDER FOR THREE!
Smart hard to the hoop! steal! Rubbing his hammie is he?
Spurs are struggling at the line, sorta keeping the Cs in it--
For an entire game, that's a tough way to win it.
LOVE CROWDER! Cs working hard, all heart--
Again, for the Spurs, refs are doing their part.
Very quietly 7 rebounds has David Lee.
Brad is animated at the "no calls" for any C!
Spurs a 9-0 run (til Smart), Cs within 13 start Q3.
SULLY FOR THREE! Crowder's tough! Cs Great D!
AB showed up! Cs can't buy a hoop--
Both ends of the floor Smart's leading our group!
A funny thought into my mind did drop:
The Spurs are doing well with the Pick and...Pop!
IT hard to the hoop! Cs within 10 end Q3.
IT hard to the hoop! Then IT FOR THREE!
LOVE AMIR! Let's have more plays for him,
And send most of the other Cs back to the gym.
AB FOR THREE! Cs a 9-2 run,
Finally the crowd's trying to get this game won!
SULLY FOR THREE! A 4th foul on Duncan,
Who always looks like him the refs are punkin'.
SMART FOR THREE! AB a loud dunk!
Shots going or not, these Cs have spunk!
Cs within 8, in numbers effort's not showing,
Rest assured, this Celtics Team is growing!
Even in loss, celebrate these Cs. We have reason:
So much potential and heart; it's just Game Three of the season!
