"TOO MANY KINGS CAN RUIN AN ARMY." Homer

Cs are at home, Sacramento Kings are in town,
Starter change: Turner--and Smart will sit down.
We've had success with Turner in getting a win,
Smart will get comfy experience when he gets in.

Sully twisted his ankle, but he'll give it a go,
vs. Cousins, who--funny--a good example will show.
CSN showed Cs practice clips, an animated Brad,
Showing more spunk and spirit than we knew he had!

Cs great ball movement! First score Zeller in the paint,
Cs have been starting poorly, hope today we ain't!
AB great steal, Cs an 11-2 run,
Kings a 7-0 run...less fun.

McLemore, whom the Cs liked, early fouls, two,
Cs 7-0 in the paint, Cousins jawing at the ref crew!
Kings lead the league in trips to the line,
Cs more physical, Turner (no TOs) better than fine.

Crowder's playing good D. Jameer in for AB, with Smart,
Bass a few minutes--as always, poised, doing his part.
On 42% shooting, Cs up 4 to start Q2,
Zeller--but not Green?--showing what he can do.

Smart is good off the Bench, scoring and great D.
Cousins constant complaining! Phantom foul on Z!
Crowder looks strong going coast to coast,
Of our three new acquisitions, I like him the most!

In all the League, the Kings the most at the line,
Because of Cousins' theatrics? He sure does whine!
Turner 8 assists first half, Wright good energy and D.
Cs contained, frustrated Cousins, up 10 start Q3.

Sully's shooting well. More aggressive is Green!
Just Green's first points. Where has he been?
Turner's been great, like an experienced vet--
Good to let Smart not start, he's not there yet.

Cs are blocking (Sully!), running the floor, and stealing
Cs an 8-0 run, Gay and Cousins are reeling.
Cs TOs, missed shots, Turner, fouls (suddenly) four,
Zeller flagrant one, on Cousins, after review on the floor.

Green's shooting's not great, but excellent D on Gay,
Which reminds me: PLEASE DON'T TRADE HIM AWAY!
Sully double double; give and go Green, Jameer,
Finally some excitement from the crowd we hear!

SMART FOR THREE! Good save Bass! OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Cs an 8-0 run! Phew! SMART FOR THREE! Cs up 16 end Q3!
Crowder good shots, he shoots better than we've seen.
Looks like chemistry and an identity for the team in Green?

CROWDER FOR THREE! Cousins tossed Smart to the floor!
Because Smart made a great steal and Cousins is a boor!
Cousins, crazy, takes away from his team and his play,
Second tech on Cousins, he's out for the day!

On three guys at once, Crowder (love him!) played D!
Turner's season high in assists is great to see.
SMART FOR THREE! Pressey minutes less than two
Largest margin of the year, Cs win by 22!

Than Kings have field goals, more assists have the Cs,
This team! 2015! More games like this, please!
Best wishes to you all, for a grand 2015,
And a positive future for our team in Green!

(THE) TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES

KG, "home" last night, Pierce tonight in DC,
Where Jeff Green's played a lot, a Hoya is he.
We've split with the Wiz, this is the last of the season.
Not the stat sheet but plays--love Smart for a reason!

Quick TO by the Cs (AB!), first hoop to Pierce,
Averaging 30 minutes per game--ever more fierce.
Wiz scored 11 off Cs five TOs, in a row,
Pierce made a three, plus enjoyed give and go.

Last time we were here Q4 plus overtimes, two,
Bench 82, no Rondo--we knew he was through.
Zeller is struggling, can't find his finishing shot,
What's the story with AB? More mental than not?

GREEN FOR THREE! At the Wiz end in mid air
Wall a 360 spin (yikes), then his lay-up was there.
After 8 TOs, Cs within 18 end Q1,
Pressey missed TWO breakaways, can't be fun.

Minutes for Pressey, minutes for Bass,
Hump outplaying Olynyk, kicking our...team.
Wiz TOs Q2 but they continue to score,
Obviously Cs' D is still poor.

SULLY FOR THREE! Refs mesmerized by Wall,
He's moving his feet, still getting the call!
SULLY FOR THREE! Cs within 17 start Q3,
Aggressive play from Green, which is annoying PP.

FASTBREAK--finally--Olynyk and AB.
Cs trying to chip away! Cs playing some D!
JAMEER FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!
Hmmm, Cs within 17 at the end of Q3.

(Zeller) If you fall,
Refs'll make the call!
In every fourth quarter, here's what the Wiz say,
If the opponent misses two free throws--everyone Chick Fil A!

Hump had a loud tip in, have to say great play!
Another reason to think: too bad we gave him away.
CROWDER FOR THREE! Cs an 11-0 run.
Cs within 13 when the game was done.

Some enthusiasm (maybe an atta boy) Brad must show,
As our Cs players on and off the court go!
Stoic and calm, our team has adopted his way.
Fine for coaching, but no way to play!

Cs looked discouraged right from the tip,
Hard to win at home or to win on a trip.
Now we have a few days--everybody in the gym!!
To develop some chemistry and Celtic Pride rhythm....

MAGIC-UGH MYSTERY TOUR

In Orlando Bass, Jameer played--latter, years ten,
He is back tonight since who knows when.
Instead of 3 new guys at once, Jameer will start,
Back to the Bench (handled like a pro) is Marcus Smart.

On Bass being sidelined, Tommy wants to "...spank someone."
Green, Nelson, Zeller, Sully, AB to start Q1.
Jameer can pass! Feel bad for AB,
Last games 0 and 15 in shooting the three.

Cs opened the game with an almost 6-minute drought,
Brad should send in the Bench--all Starters out!
Smart!
Heart!

Cs were 2 for 21 in Q1,
Within 17 when it was done.
Now 2 for 22 as Pressey tried a three,
Not the Pace and Space Brad wants to see.

16 Bench points Magic, to 15 Cs overall,
Cs need to TRY, plus gotta move the ball.
GREEN hard to the hoop, he looks alert!
Bass helping out, Cs need a scoring spurt!

Cs a (brief) 6-0 run that started with D!
Magic missing shots is what I'd like to see.
Cs are flat--no energy, no spark,
Better competition at a local park.

Cs within 23 to start Q3,
AB a black eye? Punched by Brad was he?
Zeller block! Always running the floor,
Playing with Olynyk, these guys MUST score!

Jameer coast to coast! Finally AB FOR THREE!
Magic taking it out on us for home loss to Philly.
AB FOR THREE! AB FOR THREE! Streak!
Think the Cs have already left for Xmas week.

After all their hard work, mostly Zeller and AB,
Cs within 25 at the end of Q3.
Crowder is in, he's running like crazy,
Thrilled he looks engaged and not at all lazy.

JAMEER FOR THREE (deep)! Wright at the rim,
TURNER FOR THREE! Bench building rhythm.
Cs a 12-0 run on (Jack Black's?) Tenacious D,
Jameer great steal, great dribble, inspired is he!

Bass rebounded, rebounded, made the shot, great yell!
Cs invested in Q4--at last!--you could tell.
Sweet tribute to Jameer--he was hoping not to cry.
Brad giving Crowder and Wright an extended try!

Jameer took the charge! Cs three TOs in a row,
Cs doing "Hack-A-Payton"--good results did show.
Cs a 27-5 run, OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Terrible call on Olynyk, worst one we did see.

Magic's O'Quinn played well, refs helped in the end,
Cs got so close the rules they did bend.
Doesn't excuse Cs' three quarters so bad,
But it sure did interrupt the momentum we had.

Cs lost by 5 after AB FOR THREE!
Not bad if the first 3 Qs you did see.
Only in Q4 Cs looked almost right,
Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight.

HEAT ✅

(No LeBaby)! No Bosh, no Wade--sore knee,
Marcus Smart, his first NBA start we'll see.
On shoes to fill, Marcus spoke from his heart:
"...he's Rajon Rondo and I'm Marcus Smart."

Play with energy, above the rim, hope to make shots tonight,
--Brad told the new guys to be ready--so said Brandan Wright.
Crowder is tough, his nickname's The Beast.
Maybe the Rondo trade will shake up the...East!

Smart's first opening play ever, assist to AB,
Heat playing two PGs. GREEN FOR THREE!
Cs TOs a problem, Heat's D is tough,
Heat's crazy aggressive, Cs not enough.

A Jameer appearance, great ball movement Cs,
Jameer good hustle. KEEP JEFF GREEN please!
Bass out, Wright in, Brad has so many choices,
By now, in his sleep, bet in his head he hears voices.

Cs within 7 to start Q2,
Three new guys--together!--making their debut.
Crowder great energy! NELSON FOR THREE!
Wright above the rim is fun to see!

Miami's ball movement, crazy uptempo tonight,
Brad's rotating guys to find something right!
SMART FOR THREE! Cs prepped for Wade,
Having trouble adapting to the changes Heat made.

On 40% shooting, Cs within 10 start Q3,
Heat still aggressive, Cs playing better D.
Zeller runs straight down the middle of the floor,
Cs' ball handling continues to be poor.

Zeller nice block, Cs have too many playing,
Hard to develop plays and rhythm...just saying.
Cs need to play full 24 seconds of D,
Tyler Zeller--having a great quarter is he!

Cs within 11 to start Q4
(might have done better with Wade on the floor).
Cs no fastbreak points tho we're among the best,
(sorry) Mario Chalmers is still a pest.

TURNER FOR THREE!
Cs swarming D!
Green's been quiet, his minutes seem sporadic,
Many of our possessions filled with guys nomadic.

Just as I said that, GREEN FOR THREE!
Heat's Rookie Ennis his career high did see.
Pressey might have helped our Pace,
Cs, too many moving parts all over the place.

GREEN FOR THREE! The clock's not our friend,
Cs within 16 when the game did end.
Hope by Tuesday, Magic, Cs will have practiced together,
Instead of just enjoying that warm Florida weather!

CRYING...WOLVES

At the game! At first quiet was the crowd.
As plays developed we Fans got loud!
Olynyk, Sully, Bass, Green, AB,
Turner the start, with Zeller was he.
Pressey brought Pace, Wallace is wise,
Smart last 6 minutes--you could hear the cries!
SMART FOR THREE! SMART FOR THREE!
This was exactly the game we needed to see.
The New Era has finally begun.
Proud Players, Coaches, Fans because we won!

DO YOU BELIEVE IN...? NEVER MIND ;)

Trade rumors have started, mostly Rondo, some Green.
Of course, not the first time this has been seen!
Let's hope that none of this sticks--
Especially just for a few draft picks.

Jeff Green vs Magic's Harris good match-up tonight.
Our Bench should start til the Starters get it right.
Sully great block! Celtics watched the play.
(Sully's finding his game). Magic scored anyway.

SULLY FOR THREE! All those midnights in the gym.
When I see Channing Frye, I think of KG ;) Miss him!
Four turnovers for Rondo, Cs too sloppy--Boo Hoo!
6-0 run, 71% shooting, Cs (only) up 1 start Q2.

Tho the ball was dead, Olynyk had a loud dunk!
Showing some left over--permanent?--Philly spunk?
Turner: Bench has a special chant and a handshake,
Kind of adorable--hope good chemistry this'll make.

Magic a 10-0 run, Cs still turnovers galore,
This brought Rondo, Sully, Green back on the floor.
Magic's Vučević has good skills and timing,
Two quick fouls on Zeller while I'm busy rhyming.

OLYNYK FOR THREE! He can hear it from the crowd!
ANY spark from the Cs will make the Fans loud.
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Great steal, score AB!
GREEN FOR THREE...FOR THREE! RONDO FOR THREE!

Cs an 18-6 run. Cs up THREE start Q THREE!
Rondo coast to coast, alert and aggressive is he.
SULLY FOR THREE! Vučević has a double double.
I love when Jeff Green gives the opponent trouble!

Zeller plays great D, high Basketball IQ.
As the game slows down, Pressey knows what to do.
51% shooting, Cs up 5 start Q4,
Bass, Wallace, Olynyk, Turner, Bass on the floor.

Olynyk hard to the hoop, Dad in the crowd, sweet smile.
For consistent play from his son, he's waited a while!
Successful classic give and go on Wallace's D,
Reading the play, being intelligent, having fun is he!

Cs cleaned up the TOs starting in Q3.
Magic a 5-0 run, too often this we see.
Olynyk's aggressive at both ends of the floor,
Gotta practice his free throws to add to his score.

Pressey great dribbling. Bass is a hardworking man!
Olynyk great block! Protect the rim? Hope he can.
Uptempo Ball in that tricky Q4,
ALL the Cs are running the floor!

Please let's keep Rondo and GREEN!
Cs beat the Magic by 17!

"LAST WEEK, I WENT TO PHILADELPHIA, BUT IT WAS CLOSED." ~W.C. Fields

The Celtics are in Philly, AB is back,
Let's hope he brings the D that we lack!
Brad says Sixers have changed, switching more;
They have no one under 6'6" on the floor.

Neither Marcus (Smart, Thornton) will be in the game,
So our defense AND offense won't be the same.
Sully's been struggling, missed his 9th in a row three,
Probably not the first shot Brad wanted to see.

Two fouls on Zeller--just 40 seconds went by,
Cs playing like they're kidding! Don't know why!
On top of which Cedric Maxwell (with Gorman) has the call--
Maybe he could consult, he was better playing ball.

Sully took a great charge! AB FOR THREE!
Thornton slight calf tear, 2 weeks him we won't see.
Maybe practicing tomorrow--yahoo!--Marcus Smart!
In perimeter shooting all the Sixers taking part.

Of the Sixers fans booing Turner, no sense can be made,
He didn't decide to leave--he became a C in a trade!
OLYNYK FOR THREE! 2 tries: OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Cs a 10-0 run, Wallace steal, score AB!

Wallace playing great vet D!
OLYNYK FOR THREE!
After a rocky start, Cs up 5 start Q2.
Cs a 9-0 run, Turner showing what he can do!

SULLY FOR THREE! Hope this will help him.
Always excited when Bass finds his rhythm!
Cs nice ball movement. Philly turnovers galore.
GREEN FOR THREE! Olynyk owns the floor!

Cs a 23-9 run, up 19 start Q3.
Then Cs sloppy mistakes coaches hate to see.
"That was a terrible effort...." in timeout said Brad.
Cs came out in Q3 like the game start they had.

Career high for Noel, he's a bruiser, no doubt,
He'll have a great game when he gets the kinks out.
Cs struggling with free throws, Sixers hanging around.
Season high for Olynyk, his game he has found!

Cs more great ball movement, a 10-0 run,
50% shooting--Cs up 24 when Q3 was done!
Career high for Olynyk! Philly's fouling like crazy,
Mostly it looks like to play D they're too lazy.

Suddenly Zeller loud dunk, first hoop of the game!
Zeller's early foul trouble--his way fewer minutes came.
Cs won,
By 18! Fun!
