TIMBERRRRRR....

Cs nightmare road trip starts in 'Sota tonight,
Vitor, not KO, starting; Lee's out, wrist's not right.
The Wolves in the playoffs have had the longest drought,
Since 2003-2004 they have been shut out.

Vitor and Rubio, from the same country are they,
Not all that evident in the ways that they play!
AB straight to the hoop, Kevin Martin not much D,
Cs' first six points scored by AB.

Love's a crazy rebounder--sounds like a philosophical take!--
Brewer leads the league with his own kind of fast break.
He's back! We are witnessing, quietly and with class,
The development and contribution of Brandon Bass.

Two nights in a row, for one player the thrills came,
MarShon Brooks was asked to come into the game.
Cs within 9 to start Q2,
In spite of the highlight plays the Wolves can do.

Olynyk great blocks, one with his elbow--he's tall!
Green great chase down blocks, just staying with the ball.
Wolves don't want to defend, they just want to score,
Opponents can afford no mistakes on the floor.

VITOR FOR THREE! THREE! Cs enjoying Brad's "Green" light,
Turnovers sting. Cs some D and energy tonight.
CRAWFORD FOR THREE, AB FOR THREE,
Cs within 5 to start Q3.

Bass along the baseline is very strong,
Vitor mixing up his shots, not just the one that is long.
Wonder why so few shots set up for Jeff Green....
Needs to find his groove--time after time we've seen.

They say Martin never met a shot he doesn't like,
A 9-0 run was the beginning of the Wolves scoring spike.
Fun to watch Wallace and Vitor playing together,
But Wolves' offensive barrage is tough to weather.

Sully's gaining confidence, hard work every night.
Avery Bradley, at the Two, is a coach's delight!
Wow! Wolves' offensive reputation is well-deserved,
Every play is a teaching moment, Cs not unnerved.

Cs down 19 to start Q4,
Brooks getting time--he can score!
Hump saw minutes, Pressey, too.
Wolves hardly miss, not much rebounding to do.

Wolves have a "(Robbie) Hummel Figure" on their team,
He scores from everywhere, or so it would seem.
Cs 10, 11 player rotation may have (fresh leg...) pluses,
But then no player has any rhythm--which no one discusses.

CRAWFORD FOR THREE, just not enough,
This game's not just physically, it's mentally, tough.
Cs a big loss; season high--27--AB!
Bass played well, especially his D.

Each night one C has a game like a dream,
Eventually  we'll come together as a team.

GREEN RUNS DEEP....

REALITY BITES

The Blazers travelled from Portland, they are 6 and 2,
These Cs won't play to their record--that's not what we do!
Sullinger's in tonight, better after his bruised knee,
Effort and Execution we need from each C!

"Consistency is the mark of a champion," so says Brad.
(Hope starting with our Defense being better than we had).
Green hard to the hoop--early--starting to cook,
The Blazers' Lopez is clearly not Brook.

Crawford (on Lillard) getting where he needs to go,
Two early fouls on Olynyk, his rookie-ness does show.
Green keeps forcing the issue, very hard on Batum,
Cs need to show life to light up this "room!"

An aside: Rockets Asik played 239 games in a row,
Til last night! He asked for a trade, they said sit out--no!
Bass is still struggling, cannot seem to find his shot.
Luckily Green and Crawford are active, Sully is hot!

Brad's huddle call?
Our shots will fall!
Cs went on an 8-2 run,
5 TOs, still within 2 end Q1.

PRESSEY FOR THREE, PRESSEY FOR THREE,
More phantom fouls on Vitor and Pressey we did see.
Pressey sloppy turnovers, needs to take care of the ball.
Green's a one-man fastbreak, no plays Brad has to call.

Leading the NBA in points off turnovers is AB.
Feet flat on the floor, FAVERANI FOR THREE!
Blazers started making threes, Cs within 6 end Q2,
Cs need to defend the perimeter, go inside to score.

Green's athleticism is a thing of beauty to see,
Hustle play block, nice shots by Bass, early Q3!
Blazers' threes are falling, they don't look that hard,
Brad's solution: get out there and guard!

WALLACE FOR THREE! Our 6th Man plays hard D,
Blazers' Aldridge keeps scoring, seems unstoppable does he.
Blazers went on a run, Cs within 12 start Q4,
Career night for Sully, tonight's C who can score.

The calls seem ridiculous at our end of the floor,
But they don't explain the Cs' turnovers galore.
SULLINGER FOR THREE! LEE FOR THREE!
SULLINGER FOR THREE! Cs a little more D.

In a game where the Cs' play ('cept Sully) was not exciting,
We finally had a MarShon Brooks sighting.
Blazers so many weapons, of the Cs they got the best,
I think we should be grateful we don't play in the West.

ONCE A BOBCAT ALWAYS A...HORNET

[HOPE? Nope....]

Playing again at home, it's the Bobcats tonight;
A year from now, call them the Hornets, you'll be right!
Sullinger, with a bruised knee, this game will miss,
Look for minutes from The Hump--Humphries--that's Kris.

Brad says Crawford is authentic, just loves the game.
Suddenly a masterful Point Guard, need more of the same!
Wallace, Our 6th Man, in a role he can now embrace,
His energy, hustle and wisdom lighting up this place.

Bobcats now have Big Al, ankle's better, he can score,
Tho he's still lacking D, other end of the floor.
Cs have to adjust--Cats inside outside play,
Green hard to the hoop in his athletic way!

Cats came out strong, Big Al is still...big,
He feels weird in Boston, his first NBA gig.
Tolliver is a problem, he can shoot that three,
Wallace was a Cat, Henderson's Dad was a C.

Energy off the bench! WALLACE FOR THREE!
At the Q1 buzzer--hooray--LEE FOR THREE!
36% shooting, Cs within 6 end Q1,
Cs perimeter shooting (huh?) not getting it done!

Cats among the best defending in the paint,
Easy tonight--in there the Cs ain't.
Napoli's in the building (keeping his beard clean).
He's an inspiration (worst to first) for Jeff Green.

BRADLEY FOR THREE! Green hard to the hoop,
GREEN FOR THREE, Crawford PG-ing this group.
Zeller broke hearts, chose Indiana not Butler/Brad,
Cs within 8 after the tough half (36%) they had.

Cats set the pace, no mas said Brad,
Back to the energy we've recently had!
Tough night for Bass, 4th foul early Q3,
Huge discrepancy in calls (ugh) like we so often see.

Gotta love Crawford, bodies flying everywhere,
Needs to take more shots and stop trying to share.
VITOR FOR THREE, plus a shout out loud,
Finally energy in the building--from the Cs and the crowd!

Cs amped up the rebounding. LEE FOR THREE!
Cs made a run, then slid, within 7 end Q3.
5th foul on AB, early Q4,
WALLACE FOR THREE! Bass finally could score!

"Don't ask for anything, take it!" in the huddle said Brad,
Wish over some of the terrible calls he would at least look mad!
Bass great rebounding in this Q4,
Crawford--knees and elbows--somehow he can score!

Loose balls have found Cats, hardly ever a C,
Cs a poor outing, but as aggressive as they can be!
Cs struggled, never led, from the very start,
Have to admire their Celtics Heart!

"DO YOU BELIEVE LIKE I BELIEVE?" John Sebastian

Cs play the Magic (at home), second time in four days,
Gotta play great D, and stay with aggressive plays.
Still enjoying the high of our win over the Heat,
Can't let down--Magic's a team we SHOULD beat!

Remember when Paul Pierce for the last play would call?
Well, Green won't ask, just have to get him the ball!
Magic started out hot. AB's happiest at the Two,
SKILLS! AB steal, Crawford assist, Green for the hoop--phew!

Wallace first off the bench, our 6th Man so proud--
OLYNYK FOR THREE--love the roar of the crowd!
Two early fouls on Olynyk, Maxiell teaching him tonight.
Sully enjoying his minutes, his baby hook looks just right.

Best percentage in the NBA since 2007, every year:
Green winning/tying last 5 seconds--HE was surprised to hear!
Ten different Cs players--68% shooting--getting it done,
Cs up 6 at the end of Q1.

Every game: we are witnessing, quietly and with class,
The development and contribution of Brandon Bass.
Crawford is a find!! He's playing great at point guard,
Pass, shoot, assist, run, talk--he's working so hard!

A cool and calm personality these Cs did poach,
Like in college, not the pros, they get it from their Coach!
(Rondo on the bench, he dresses so fine),
On 62% shooting, Cs end the half up 9.

AB stemmed the brief Magic tide, made shots, great D,
Wallace and AB together--so much fun to see!
AB's abusing Nelson at both ends of the floor.
Wallace to Bass! ALL these Cs can score!

Pressey motors up the floor, to OLYNYK FOR THREE,
On unselfish play (repeat rhyme), LEE FOR THREE!
Cs up 13 to start Q4,
Vitor, Wallace--Big Guys--running the floor!

Our enthusiastic 6th Man, Wallace, playing great D,
First time in his career--PRESSEY FOR THREE!
All 5 Cs starters--plus--double-figure scoring,
At both ends of the floor these Cs are not boring!

Every C that has played has made at least one hoop,
That unselfishness is the hallmark of this Cs group!
Mid-Q4 the Cs seemed to slow down the pace,
I think that was an unhappy look we saw on Brad's face!

A sweet sentiment for an NBA player aiming to survive:
To stay humble--where he was drafted--Moore wears 55.
Just for kicks a Crawford pass we did see,
To that happy corner: GREEN FOR THREE!

At the end of the game Cs still hustling on the floor,
Cs WIN! 120-105 the final score.
As unlikely as it might seem,
WE Cs are now a 500 team!

GREEN...RUNS DEEP!!

Cs WIN! Cs WIN! Cs WIN! Cs WIN! Cs WIN!
POINT SIX LEFT, GREEN'S THREE WENT IN!

American Airlines Arena, Heat and Cs rival camps,
These Cs haven't played the two-time champs.
Word is Lebron has a sore lower back,
Still his athleticism he will not lack.

Olynyk getting his first start, Faverani is not,
The former plays good D and is finding his shot.
First play Olynyk blocked Bosh, OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Buying in to New Celtics Ball is each C.

Does Wallace know the "6th man" was "invented" by the Cs?
Crawford, oh, no, don't, oh...CRAWFORD FOR...THREES!
Bringing Hump in against Anderson seems kinda mean.
Made his turnaround jumper, tho little play he has seen.

FINALLY called for a travel was former C Ray,
Would've counted more in the Finals than it did today!
Cs within 6 at the end of Q1.
GREEN FOR THREE! Remember Hump can run!

Wallace, Faverani, Hump with instincts great,
Lee great offense and D, came in Q2--late.
Beasley in for the Heat, scored 8 in a row,
A little home cookin', know how those calls go!

Eleven different guys scored, Cs up 1 start Q3
Highlight: in Lebron's face-buzzer!-CRAWFORD  FOR THREE!
GREEN FOR THREE! On Wade a fab block!
Bass, despite early fouls, still raising his stock.

Cs running the court, getting back well on D,
Crawford two steals from Lebron! GREEN FOR THREE!
Crawford, "Inspector Gadget," all elbows and knees,
Heart and contributions from all of the Cs!

Wallace is the Man, the 6th or whatever,
Posting up, good bounce passes, he is so clever!
Rashard Lewis made a three, I forgot he was playin',
I guess he should be for what the Heat are payin'.

Wallace took a hard charge, Lebron cried about the call,
Wallace-our 6th Man--doing well even off the ball!
Cs within 2 to start Q4,
GREEN FOR THREE! Both teams can score.

Brad drew up a play, said "nah," with a smirk,
Just sent the guys out to do their work.
Lebron can be tackled, he is a freight train,
He still scores like he feels no pain.

AB FOR THREE!! No fouls called for him,
Of course not--we're playing in Lebron's gym!
Cs played great, showing chemistry and heart,
No question about roles, each guy played a part!

GREEN FOR THREE!
I AM A C!

"...BELIEVE IN THE MAGIC THAT CAN SET YOU FREE...." John Sebastian

Five games, five cities, seven nights, oh, my,
Tough November schedule for the Cs to get by.
In Orlando tonight, it's the Magic at Amway,
Magic has Vucevic, playing great, hard name to say.

Rondo has been cleared for contact, one on one!
Let's endorse Wallace for 6th man, so he'll think it's fun.
Crawford is starting again,  he has swagger, says  AB,
Big Baby (trim!) rehabbing his foot. VITOR FOR THREE!

Magic team is young, they can run the floor,
Bass-Maxiell match-up; they have E'twaun Moore.
Magic went on a 12-0 run,
Still, Olynyk at the buzzer, Cs within 7 end Q1.

Cs good interior passing, Lee making shots and good D,
Three early fouls on Wallace, took an early seat did he.
Lee was a star off the bench, first time we've seen,
So far sort of the opposite--with no set plays--of Green.

The crowd is so quiet, like they're playing in a gym,
3 minutes left in Q2, Green found his rhythm!
Cs held Vucevic in check, tho Afflalo was tough,
Cs kept hanging around tho field goal shooting was rough.

Crawford coast to coast! Cs within 3 end Q2,
Cs getting offensive rebounds, need to know what to do!
Again we are witnessing, quietly and with class,
The development and contribution of Brandon Bass.

Crawford to Green alley-oop, AB FOR THREE!
Green's second loud dunk of the game we did see!
Green athletic and aggressive, so is Bass,
Crawford's not just taking shots, he's willing to pass.

Wallace and Sully have a nice feel for each other,
Add to them Crawford...and Olynyk's another.
Two easy buckets from Moore, enough from him,
Cs should remember he loves to take it to the rim.

Cs good passing, fewer turnovers and rebounds galore,
Guys sensing some chemistry as they spread the floor!
Bass is more vocal this year, never physically shy.
Wallace brings a spark off the bench,  a great 6th guy!

Cs up 3 to start Q4,
Scrappy beginning, guys all over the floor!
Neither team's had any luck shooting the three,
Wallace knocked Afflalo into Nelson--"Crash" is he!

Olidapo with a steal, better one by AB,
Good hustle Crawford, AB and by Bass great D!
A 4-point play by Afflalo?? Oh, no he did not....
Under a minute, phew, Olynyk found his shot!

26 seconds left, Crawford  in trouble! Time out!
Bass clutch free throws, that's what he's all about!
Afflalo with a three? Nope, that's a two,
Cs WIN on the road--in a row, that's TWO!

"A JAZZ BEAT IS A DYNAMIC CHANGING RHYTHM." Ken Burns

{RESULTS: Spoiler Alert! A WIN by the Cs!!
After a Q4 that made me weak in the knees}.

Tonight for the Cs let's avoid this remix:
Cs 0 and 5 FIRST franchise year, 1946.
Jazz in the Garden, Hayward is on their team,
Played for Brad at Butler, a childhood dream.

Crawford getting the start (Wallace has a bruised knee),
More passes to and plays for Green we should see.
CRAWFORD FOR THREE!  to start the game,
As point guard will his shot-taking still be the same?

Jazz went on a 14-0 run,
2 fouls on Vitor halfway through Q1.
Finally Bass broke that scoring streak,
Open court for Green where he's at his peak!

GREEN FOR THREE! WALLACE FOR THREE!
Wallace phenomenal off the bench, still a hustler is he.
Cs were down 13, then went on a run,
Cs within 3 at the end of Q1.

Wallace the spark, Olynyk finding his way,
Cs a 38-12 run--this is how we should play!
Humphries in the game! He made his first shot.
GREEN FOR THREE from the Logo spot!

Sully scored just when the half was through,
Cs UP 16 at the end of Q2.
More shots, fewer turnovers, fast breaks, rebounding,
(Crowd's loud) More like Celtics Ball this is sounding!

Again we are witnessing, quietly and with class,
The development and contribution of Brandon Bass.
GREEN FOR THREE! AB finding his rhythm,
When he's playing two guard things go better with him.

Wallace confused about his role, but a Cs Fan
Respects, admires, the impact of our 6th man!
Chemistry, interior passing...LEE FOR THREE,
Olynyk's a great passer! Cs up 22 end Q3.

As has been the hallmark of every Q4,
Cs slow down the pace and have no one to score.
Jazz went on a 21-5 run,
Cs so much dribbling, getting nothing done!

Cs again in Q4 forgot to go to the hoop,
Jazz turnovers bailed out our Green Group.
Cs WIN! 97-87 final score,
We Fans are still sweating after this Q4!

HEARTBREAK HOTEL

Coach Heinsohn's '69-'70 team started 0 and 4,
(no jinx) So no reason to show Coach Stevens the door.
AB, Wallace, Faverani, Bass and Green,
It's a starting line-up before we have seen.

Cs led off with the first hoop--good sign for AB,
Then Jeff Green showing how athletic is he.
Please! No more outside shots from our Celtics group,
We must be aggressive and go hard to the hoop.

JEFF GREEN FOR THREE! FAVERANI FOR THREE!
Crawford first off the bench, two early fouls on AB.
Quiet, skilled and deliberate, Bass is always the same.
An aside: this is Green's 400th career game.

Gotta love Crawford, he's all elbows and knees,
End Q1 within 3, after a 10-5 run, are the Cs.
We all groan, but then...SULLINGER FOR THREE!
Grizzlies--and their crowd--disrupted by Cs' good D.

Wallace aggressive, they call him "Crash" for a reason,
He wants to be the heart/voice of the Cs this season.
Cs shooting the ball well, playing great defense, too,
A composed Green busting out--Cs up 4 end Q2!

Grizzlies came out strong to start Q3,
Suddenly this Gasol broke through the Cs' D.
(Tony Allen looks like Eddie Murphy--just sayin',
Tho' he's not in green, always love his playin').

CRAWFORD  FOR THREE! Oh, what fun--
Bad news: Wallace bruised knee, his night is done.
Green still busting out! SULLINGER FOR THREE!
Cs a 15-4 run, up 6 end Q3.

Cs running hard! COURTNEY LEE FOR THREE!
CRAWFORD FOR THREE! Inspired is he....
Griz Bayless is tough, mid Q4 he got hot,
Olynyk had good looks, just couldn't find his shot.

Bass extended leg, refs calling illegal screen;
Under a minute--no Q4 points for game's high scorer Green.
Excellent effort, moral victory, palavers galore,
Cs left everything they had on this court.

Don't know about you--there's a deep pain in my heart,
These Cs (we!) have worked so hard...for this 0 and 4 start.
