"TOO MANY KINGS CAN RUIN AN ARMY." Homer

Cs are at home, Sacramento Kings are in town,
Starter change: Turner--and Smart will sit down.
We've had success with Turner in getting a win,
Smart will get comfy experience when he gets in.

Sully twisted his ankle, but he'll give it a go,
vs. Cousins, who--funny--a good example will show.
CSN showed Cs practice clips, an animated Brad,
Showing more spunk and spirit than we knew he had!

Cs great ball movement! First score Zeller in the paint,
Cs have been starting poorly, hope today we ain't!
AB great steal, Cs an 11-2 run,
Kings a 7-0 run...less fun.

McLemore, whom the Cs liked, early fouls, two,
Cs 7-0 in the paint, Cousins jawing at the ref crew!
Kings lead the league in trips to the line,
Cs more physical, Turner (no TOs) better than fine.

Crowder's playing good D. Jameer in for AB, with Smart,
Bass a few minutes--as always, poised, doing his part.
On 42% shooting, Cs up 4 to start Q2,
Zeller--but not Green?--showing what he can do.

Smart is good off the Bench, scoring and great D.
Cousins constant complaining! Phantom foul on Z!
Crowder looks strong going coast to coast,
Of our three new acquisitions, I like him the most!

In all the League, the Kings the most at the line,
Because of Cousins' theatrics? He sure does whine!
Turner 8 assists first half, Wright good energy and D.
Cs contained, frustrated Cousins, up 10 start Q3.

Sully's shooting well. More aggressive is Green!
Just Green's first points. Where has he been?
Turner's been great, like an experienced vet--
Good to let Smart not start, he's not there yet.

Cs are blocking (Sully!), running the floor, and stealing
Cs an 8-0 run, Gay and Cousins are reeling.
Cs TOs, missed shots, Turner, fouls (suddenly) four,
Zeller flagrant one, on Cousins, after review on the floor.

Green's shooting's not great, but excellent D on Gay,
Which reminds me: PLEASE DON'T TRADE HIM AWAY!
Sully double double; give and go Green, Jameer,
Finally some excitement from the crowd we hear!

SMART FOR THREE! Good save Bass! OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Cs an 8-0 run! Phew! SMART FOR THREE! Cs up 16 end Q3!
Crowder good shots, he shoots better than we've seen.
Looks like chemistry and an identity for the team in Green?

CROWDER FOR THREE! Cousins tossed Smart to the floor!
Because Smart made a great steal and Cousins is a boor!
Cousins, crazy, takes away from his team and his play,
Second tech on Cousins, he's out for the day!

On three guys at once, Crowder (love him!) played D!
Turner's season high in assists is great to see.
SMART FOR THREE! Pressey minutes less than two
Largest margin of the year, Cs win by 22!

Than Kings have field goals, more assists have the Cs,
This team! 2015! More games like this, please!
Best wishes to you all, for a grand 2015,
And a positive future for our team in Green!

(THE) TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES

KG, "home" last night, Pierce tonight in DC,
Where Jeff Green's played a lot, a Hoya is he.
We've split with the Wiz, this is the last of the season.
Not the stat sheet but plays--love Smart for a reason!

Quick TO by the Cs (AB!), first hoop to Pierce,
Averaging 30 minutes per game--ever more fierce.
Wiz scored 11 off Cs five TOs, in a row,
Pierce made a three, plus enjoyed give and go.

Last time we were here Q4 plus overtimes, two,
Bench 82, no Rondo--we knew he was through.
Zeller is struggling, can't find his finishing shot,
What's the story with AB? More mental than not?

GREEN FOR THREE! At the Wiz end in mid air
Wall a 360 spin (yikes), then his lay-up was there.
After 8 TOs, Cs within 18 end Q1,
Pressey missed TWO breakaways, can't be fun.

Minutes for Pressey, minutes for Bass,
Hump outplaying Olynyk, kicking our...team.
Wiz TOs Q2 but they continue to score,
Obviously Cs' D is still poor.

SULLY FOR THREE! Refs mesmerized by Wall,
He's moving his feet, still getting the call!
SULLY FOR THREE! Cs within 17 start Q3,
Aggressive play from Green, which is annoying PP.

FASTBREAK--finally--Olynyk and AB.
Cs trying to chip away! Cs playing some D!
JAMEER FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!
Hmmm, Cs within 17 at the end of Q3.

(Zeller) If you fall,
Refs'll make the call!
In every fourth quarter, here's what the Wiz say,
If the opponent misses two free throws--everyone Chick Fil A!

Hump had a loud tip in, have to say great play!
Another reason to think: too bad we gave him away.
CROWDER FOR THREE! Cs an 11-0 run.
Cs within 13 when the game was done.

Some enthusiasm (maybe an atta boy) Brad must show,
As our Cs players on and off the court go!
Stoic and calm, our team has adopted his way.
Fine for coaching, but no way to play!

Cs looked discouraged right from the tip,
Hard to win at home or to win on a trip.
Now we have a few days--everybody in the gym!!
To develop some chemistry and Celtic Pride rhythm....

MAGIC-UGH MYSTERY TOUR

In Orlando Bass, Jameer played--latter, years ten,
He is back tonight since who knows when.
Instead of 3 new guys at once, Jameer will start,
Back to the Bench (handled like a pro) is Marcus Smart.

On Bass being sidelined, Tommy wants to "...spank someone."
Green, Nelson, Zeller, Sully, AB to start Q1.
Jameer can pass! Feel bad for AB,
Last games 0 and 15 in shooting the three.

Cs opened the game with an almost 6-minute drought,
Brad should send in the Bench--all Starters out!
Smart!
Heart!

Cs were 2 for 21 in Q1,
Within 17 when it was done.
Now 2 for 22 as Pressey tried a three,
Not the Pace and Space Brad wants to see.

16 Bench points Magic, to 15 Cs overall,
Cs need to TRY, plus gotta move the ball.
GREEN hard to the hoop, he looks alert!
Bass helping out, Cs need a scoring spurt!

Cs a (brief) 6-0 run that started with D!
Magic missing shots is what I'd like to see.
Cs are flat--no energy, no spark,
Better competition at a local park.

Cs within 23 to start Q3,
AB a black eye? Punched by Brad was he?
Zeller block! Always running the floor,
Playing with Olynyk, these guys MUST score!

Jameer coast to coast! Finally AB FOR THREE!
Magic taking it out on us for home loss to Philly.
AB FOR THREE! AB FOR THREE! Streak!
Think the Cs have already left for Xmas week.

After all their hard work, mostly Zeller and AB,
Cs within 25 at the end of Q3.
Crowder is in, he's running like crazy,
Thrilled he looks engaged and not at all lazy.

JAMEER FOR THREE (deep)! Wright at the rim,
TURNER FOR THREE! Bench building rhythm.
Cs a 12-0 run on (Jack Black's?) Tenacious D,
Jameer great steal, great dribble, inspired is he!

Bass rebounded, rebounded, made the shot, great yell!
Cs invested in Q4--at last!--you could tell.
Sweet tribute to Jameer--he was hoping not to cry.
Brad giving Crowder and Wright an extended try!

Jameer took the charge! Cs three TOs in a row,
Cs doing "Hack-A-Payton"--good results did show.
Cs a 27-5 run, OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Terrible call on Olynyk, worst one we did see.

Magic's O'Quinn played well, refs helped in the end,
Cs got so close the rules they did bend.
Doesn't excuse Cs' three quarters so bad,
But it sure did interrupt the momentum we had.

Cs lost by 5 after AB FOR THREE!
Not bad if the first 3 Qs you did see.
Only in Q4 Cs looked almost right,
Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight.

HEAT ✅

(No LeBaby)! No Bosh, no Wade--sore knee,
Marcus Smart, his first NBA start we'll see.
On shoes to fill, Marcus spoke from his heart:
"...he's Rajon Rondo and I'm Marcus Smart."

Play with energy, above the rim, hope to make shots tonight,
--Brad told the new guys to be ready--so said Brandan Wright.
Crowder is tough, his nickname's The Beast.
Maybe the Rondo trade will shake up the...East!

Smart's first opening play ever, assist to AB,
Heat playing two PGs. GREEN FOR THREE!
Cs TOs a problem, Heat's D is tough,
Heat's crazy aggressive, Cs not enough.

A Jameer appearance, great ball movement Cs,
Jameer good hustle. KEEP JEFF GREEN please!
Bass out, Wright in, Brad has so many choices,
By now, in his sleep, bet in his head he hears voices.

Cs within 7 to start Q2,
Three new guys--together!--making their debut.
Crowder great energy! NELSON FOR THREE!
Wright above the rim is fun to see!

Miami's ball movement, crazy uptempo tonight,
Brad's rotating guys to find something right!
SMART FOR THREE! Cs prepped for Wade,
Having trouble adapting to the changes Heat made.

On 40% shooting, Cs within 10 start Q3,
Heat still aggressive, Cs playing better D.
Zeller runs straight down the middle of the floor,
Cs' ball handling continues to be poor.

Zeller nice block, Cs have too many playing,
Hard to develop plays and rhythm...just saying.
Cs need to play full 24 seconds of D,
Tyler Zeller--having a great quarter is he!

Cs within 11 to start Q4
(might have done better with Wade on the floor).
Cs no fastbreak points tho we're among the best,
(sorry) Mario Chalmers is still a pest.

TURNER FOR THREE!
Cs swarming D!
Green's been quiet, his minutes seem sporadic,
Many of our possessions filled with guys nomadic.

Just as I said that, GREEN FOR THREE!
Heat's Rookie Ennis his career high did see.
Pressey might have helped our Pace,
Cs, too many moving parts all over the place.

GREEN FOR THREE! The clock's not our friend,
Cs within 16 when the game did end.
Hope by Tuesday, Magic, Cs will have practiced together,
Instead of just enjoying that warm Florida weather!

CRYING...WOLVES

At the game! At first quiet was the crowd.
As plays developed we Fans got loud!
Olynyk, Sully, Bass, Green, AB,
Turner the start, with Zeller was he.
Pressey brought Pace, Wallace is wise,
Smart last 6 minutes--you could hear the cries!
SMART FOR THREE! SMART FOR THREE!
This was exactly the game we needed to see.
The New Era has finally begun.
Proud Players, Coaches, Fans because we won!

DO YOU BELIEVE IN...? NEVER MIND ;)

Trade rumors have started, mostly Rondo, some Green.
Of course, not the first time this has been seen!
Let's hope that none of this sticks--
Especially just for a few draft picks.

Jeff Green vs Magic's Harris good match-up tonight.
Our Bench should start til the Starters get it right.
Sully great block! Celtics watched the play.
(Sully's finding his game). Magic scored anyway.

SULLY FOR THREE! All those midnights in the gym.
When I see Channing Frye, I think of KG ;) Miss him!
Four turnovers for Rondo, Cs too sloppy--Boo Hoo!
6-0 run, 71% shooting, Cs (only) up 1 start Q2.

Tho the ball was dead, Olynyk had a loud dunk!
Showing some left over--permanent?--Philly spunk?
Turner: Bench has a special chant and a handshake,
Kind of adorable--hope good chemistry this'll make.

Magic a 10-0 run, Cs still turnovers galore,
This brought Rondo, Sully, Green back on the floor.
Magic's Vučević has good skills and timing,
Two quick fouls on Zeller while I'm busy rhyming.

OLYNYK FOR THREE! He can hear it from the crowd!
ANY spark from the Cs will make the Fans loud.
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Great steal, score AB!
GREEN FOR THREE...FOR THREE! RONDO FOR THREE!

Cs an 18-6 run. Cs up THREE start Q THREE!
Rondo coast to coast, alert and aggressive is he.
SULLY FOR THREE! Vučević has a double double.
I love when Jeff Green gives the opponent trouble!

Zeller plays great D, high Basketball IQ.
As the game slows down, Pressey knows what to do.
51% shooting, Cs up 5 start Q4,
Bass, Wallace, Olynyk, Turner, Bass on the floor.

Olynyk hard to the hoop, Dad in the crowd, sweet smile.
For consistent play from his son, he's waited a while!
Successful classic give and go on Wallace's D,
Reading the play, being intelligent, having fun is he!

Cs cleaned up the TOs starting in Q3.
Magic a 5-0 run, too often this we see.
Olynyk's aggressive at both ends of the floor,
Gotta practice his free throws to add to his score.

Pressey great dribbling. Bass is a hardworking man!
Olynyk great block! Protect the rim? Hope he can.
Uptempo Ball in that tricky Q4,
ALL the Cs are running the floor!

Please let's keep Rondo and GREEN!
Cs beat the Magic by 17!

"LAST WEEK, I WENT TO PHILADELPHIA, BUT IT WAS CLOSED." ~W.C. Fields

The Celtics are in Philly, AB is back,
Let's hope he brings the D that we lack!
Brad says Sixers have changed, switching more;
They have no one under 6'6" on the floor.

Neither Marcus (Smart, Thornton) will be in the game,
So our defense AND offense won't be the same.
Sully's been struggling, missed his 9th in a row three,
Probably not the first shot Brad wanted to see.

Two fouls on Zeller--just 40 seconds went by,
Cs playing like they're kidding! Don't know why!
On top of which Cedric Maxwell (with Gorman) has the call--
Maybe he could consult, he was better playing ball.

Sully took a great charge! AB FOR THREE!
Thornton slight calf tear, 2 weeks him we won't see.
Maybe practicing tomorrow--yahoo!--Marcus Smart!
In perimeter shooting all the Sixers taking part.

Of the Sixers fans booing Turner, no sense can be made,
He didn't decide to leave--he became a C in a trade!
OLYNYK FOR THREE! 2 tries: OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Cs a 10-0 run, Wallace steal, score AB!

Wallace playing great vet D!
OLYNYK FOR THREE!
After a rocky start, Cs up 5 start Q2.
Cs a 9-0 run, Turner showing what he can do!

SULLY FOR THREE! Hope this will help him.
Always excited when Bass finds his rhythm!
Cs nice ball movement. Philly turnovers galore.
GREEN FOR THREE! Olynyk owns the floor!

Cs a 23-9 run, up 19 start Q3.
Then Cs sloppy mistakes coaches hate to see.
"That was a terrible effort...." in timeout said Brad.
Cs came out in Q3 like the game start they had.

Career high for Noel, he's a bruiser, no doubt,
He'll have a great game when he gets the kinks out.
Cs struggling with free throws, Sixers hanging around.
Season high for Olynyk, his game he has found!

Cs more great ball movement, a 10-0 run,
50% shooting--Cs up 24 when Q3 was done!
Career high for Olynyk! Philly's fouling like crazy,
Mostly it looks like to play D they're too lazy.

Suddenly Zeller loud dunk, first hoop of the game!
Zeller's early foul trouble--his way fewer minutes came.
Cs won,
By 18! Fun!

KNICKed

No AB tonight (fever); Melo is in.
Word is Turner, the game will begin.
From Smart's Cs number 36, a sweet tale to craft,
3 to honor his late brother, 6 his number in the draft.

Cs struggled on the road, especially those who start,
Exactly the opposite for our Bench, the successful part.
Knicks a jump-shooting team, not much at the line,
Knicks a 9-0 run, Brad some plays must define.

Alley-oop, Rondo to Green whom I could watch all day,
His effort, athleticism...please don't trade him away.
Knicks playing zone, Cs bothered by their D!
Gerald Wallace--great passer--some minutes did see.

GREEN FOR THREE! Cs within 7 start Q2,
Smart drawing charges! Turner's heating up, too.
Pressey's in, along with him comes Pace,
Once again the Bench is lighting up this place!

Cs a 14-4 run, we had a brief lead,
Hardaway, Jr. providing the offense the Knicks need.
Smart a left Achilles strain, no more playing tonight.
GREEN FOR THREE! Shumpert's fall a scary sight.

Dislocated his shoulder, report Cs' Young did, too.
Rondo to Zeller--there must be more we can do!
Knicks 55% shooting, Cs within 5 start Q3,
Triangle or not, Knicks' game looks effortless to me.

So far Knicks have ten steals, none for the Cs,
Because Smart and AB are responsible for these.
Zeller's 18-footer is a highlight tonight,
It looks like Melo is feeling all right.

Last night Knicks--movies--Chris Rock's "Top Five,"
Celtics look flat and slow and barely alive,
Except for Zeller and Green....Turnovers galore,
THORNTON FOR THREE! He has to score!!

OLYNYK FOR THREE! Cs within 6 end Q3,
Cs an 8-0 run, THORNTON FOR THREE!
Knicks' Smith is a problem, he's come so far,
Talking about Jason, not the Instagramming J.R.

Knicks an 11-0 run, Cs' whole game an issue,
I need a martini and I suppose a tissue.
Sully looked grumpy, had nothing at either end,
Amar'é through the hoop the ball he did send.

GREEN FOR THREE! Rondo finally had a steal,
Thornton great shot, it got stuck--unreal.
Amar'e a loud dunk, GREEN FOR THREE!
Green coast to coast, he's the player for me!

We had no Tenacious D, apologies to Jack Black,
Hope we'll soon have AB and Marcus Smart back.
ATO Olynyk was ASKED to make a three,
Way wide--inexperience we did see.

High scorer of the game, you know who I mean:
JEFF GREEN, JEFF GREEN, JEFF GREEN, JEFF GREEN!
Worst start in history, the Knicks looked weak;
Trap game? Embarrassed! WE broke their losing streak.

BUZZ CUT

What happens if Brad keeps bringing Smart in,
And, with Rondo on the Bench, the Cs start to win?
Zeller family's represented, we have T, Hornets have C.
Lance Stephenson is a tough assignment for AB.

Green, early in the post, a great way to start,
Seeing his own shots go in warms his "heart!"
Stephenson has missed 13 consecutive threes,
When you're admiring shots, gotta love AB's.

Charlotte Hornets not known for their fast break,
But Cody Zeller against his bro advantage will take!
Hornets a 16-6 run, with Rondo, Smart playing Two,
Olynyk needs to be aggressive, show what he can do.

Parents Steve and Lorri Zeller ardorable are they,
No pressure, just joy, when these two sons play.
Cs within 6 to start Q2,
Biyombo shoved Olynyk, not nice to do.

Smart took a charge, gotta love this guy!
Last night no ankle swelling, an adrenaline high?
THORNTON FOR THREE! SULLY FOR THREE!
When the Cs move the ball--surprise--results we see!

Cs Q2 29-18, Tyler showing up his bro,
Cs were down 8, then up 5, that's how the half did go!
What I said about AB's shots--wow, not tonight,
Not the only one in Green whose shot's not right.

Cs frightening shooting, Hornets reclaim the lead,
Matching intensity is what these slow Celtics need.
Things got chippy between Lance and Rondo
Double techs--one of the latter's traits I am fond o'!

Refs opposite calls, indecisive--jump ball,
First time hearing from the crowd was on that call.
Turner and Stephenson in Indiana at the same time,
Not crazy about each other--makes for an easy rhyme.

Olynyk and Bass can play well together,
Must tonight! Hornets hard push to weather.
Cs have no legs. They are winning no race,
Pressey came in to pick up the pace.

PRESSEY FOR THREE! Cs within 7 start Q4,
More fouls called for the Hornets--running the floor.
Cs playing Wonder Ball, THORNTON FOR THREE!
Pressey took a charge, a big-time play,
Love watching Thornton have his way!

Hornets a 10-2 run, THORNTON FOR THREE!
Ball movement, no standing, we need to see!
Thornton has been the difference in Q4,
Before the Hornets get back, he can score.

Triple double for Rondo, in his headband tonight!
Big Al is Big! His step-through's a fright.
Are these the Celtics who played DC??
No pace, legs or energy did we see.

I thought tonight we could count on a win,
Feels more like an uppercut to my chin.

G WIZ

Of home and home, it's the second night.
DC seeking revenge only seems right.
Brad says Zeller starts because of his D,
Physical presence down low....First score AB.

Green hard to the hoop, he's played here a lot,
Once scored 39--let's hope he gets (stays) hot.
AB FOR THREE! Then we saw vintage Pierce.
Tho he's not a C (sad) we still call him "fierce."

Rondo to Green a spectacular alley-oop!
Wiz high pick and roll tough on our Cs group.
GREEN FOR THREE! Fouled on a three, made three,
Playing in his home town, he loves DC.

Bass coming off the bench is not good for him,
I feel bad as he struggles to find his rhythm.
High scoring quarter, Cs within 1 start Q2,
Wiz an 8-0 run til Turner's shot went through.

Smart's on Miller, 18 years difference in age,
Few calls going Smart's way, in his rookie stage.
Turner with a great steal, then hard to the hoop,
"Didn't know you had that!" ~someone in the fan group ;)

Pierce passed Reggie Miller on the scoring list,
Against the Celtics--oh, he is missed.
Wiz a 10-2 run, Cs not finishing strong,
Plus we fouled at the buzzer--so very wrong.

Green made a length-of-the-court shot--a tick too late.
Cs within 13--Q2 ended not too great.
Green had 12 points first half, but all in Q1.
That Rondo to Zeller is so much fun!

Pierce alone is bothering the Cs,
Passing, dunking, making threes.
Not loving each other Sully and Hump,
He's a guy I wish we didn't dump.

Every loose ball is going the Wiz way,
McCarty telling the Cs NOW is the time to play.
Wiz are just quietly playing their game,
Cs look slow, as last night not the same.

OLYNYK FOR THREE! Great steal Smart,
When I see Pierce fist-pumping, it hurts my heart.
SMART FOR THREE! Like him in with Green.
Green, says Tommy, is the best athlete ever in green!

After a brief spurt, Cs within 16 to start Q4.
Smart, Bass, Turner, Olynyk, Thornton on the floor.
SMART FOR THREE! Playing much more...Smart,
Seems he has ignited some Celtics pride and heart!

Cs playing 2-3 zone, while the digits lead still double,
Smart working so hard to get his team out of trouble.
Thornton! Turner! Single digits. Career high--Smart!
Cs Bench vs Starters, seeing (again) so much heart!

TURNER FOR THREE! The Cs take the lead,
Til the Wiz made a shot they did desperately need.
Cs effort and energy all started with D,
Kept the momentum, no Rondo did we see.

Olynyk took a charge, refs reviewed so long,
Counted it as Brad's time out! So very wrong!
0.6 to go, TURNER FOR THREE, TIE!
OVERTIME! Oh, my!

Time to take advantage of this easy rhyme:
Tho Bass hard to the hoop, second OVERTIME!
SMART FOR THREE! Tough for Gortat is Bass,
Smart has heart, can score and he can pass.

Cs Bench has scored the most ever--more than 50 years!
From the Cs Starters all you hear are cheers!
Olynyk fouled out on a cheesy call,
Pierce sold it by doing a veteran fall.

Fact: any time in OT you can check a replay,
1:44 left 2OT went the Wizards' way.
Smart? Smart! Incredible is Wall,
Wiz first 2OT lead on a Wall And One call.

Most of the crowd is gone, most left are in green,
Pierce took a charge, thumped chest--as we've often seen.
Would have been more fun
If we had won....

GOTTA BEAT LA! GOTTA BEAT LA!

News of the week: Rondo's breakfast with KB,
Photos everywhere! Third guy, who was he?
Zeller with the start, off the bench KO,
Works for as long as each his skills does show!

SULLY FOR THREE! AB starting in a good way,
Green's aggressive, athletic, creative all day!
Cs a 9-0 run, til more from the only offense--Hill.
We need guys to take a charge! Zeller will.

Zeller is The Man, both ends of the floor,
He's playing great D and knows how to score!
Zeller and Olynyk, together, mid Q1,
Rondo is engaged, Green's been fun!

Pressey's in, his Dad's on the wrong team!
Lakers Bench 11-2 run, building steam.
Thornton is rebounding! OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Bass late off the Bench, disoriented seems he.

On 61% shooting, Cs up 10 start Q2.
THORNTON FOR THREE! But no more jumpers through!
Lakers an 8-0 run, no Cs are penetrating,
It's as if for Rondo (not Pressey) they are waiting.

Thornton great hustle. Hurting is AB?
Finally a coast-to-coast Pressey we did see!
Cs second unit played half-court ball.
Rondo in, ball movement, Cs' shots did fall.

TURNER FOR THREE! Cs a 9-0 run,
Zeller's shooting, scoring...getting everything done!
With Lin at the buzzer, Cs up 5 start Q3,
Green opened Q3 with an old-fashioned three.

GREEN FOR THREE! Zeller's still got rhythm,
Teammates, coaches, fans all thrilled with him!
Tons of Lakers fans (way too many) in the crowd,
Can't tell which team scored when they are loud.

SULLY FOR THREE! And a double double,
Down low he can keep the Cs out of trouble!
Cs a 9-0 run, AB FOR THREE!
Top scorer in the league, see why--Kobe.

Cs' free throws are atrocious, wish they were not,
Each guy, on his own, should practice that shot!
Please no déjà vu, Cs up 16 start Q4,
Worried about our second unit on the floor.

I can finally say "hooray for Bass,"
Good job off a tricky Olynyk pass!
Cs can't handle Young, he seems like a jerk,
Shoving and jawing at Sully, should stick to his work.

Season high points, rebounds for, as Tommy calls him, "Zella,"
How glad I am that he's--can't resist--our fella!
AB FOR THREE! Cs an 11-0 run,
Biggest rivalry in sports? For the Cs this was fun!

Sad to see Gino, without KG ;(
But this 17 point win is enough for me!

"I ONCE SPENT A YEAR IN PHILADELPHIA, I THINK IT WAS ON A SUNDAY." W.C. Fields

Sixers' starters have changed; they haven't won a game,
Hope Turner makes them unhappy that back he came!
1 1/2 minutes in, first foul on KO,
Green turnover, then his block was a show!

Cs trouble with offense, then RONDO FOR THREE!
Alley-oop! To Olynyk from AB!
Cs Consecutive TOs, Sixers a 9-0 run,
Brandon Bass coming alive end of Q1.

Cs, 47% shooting, within 5 start Q2,
Cs turnovers because of sloppy passes they do.
Bass is playing alone, now the crowd is in it,
Everyone in Philly thinks tonight they can win it.

THORNTON FOR THREE! Cs a 9-0 run,
Pressey steal, barely made the lay-up--what fun!
Sixers scoring off turnovers! TAKE CARE OF THE BALL!
Brad needs to tell each C--one and all!

Crowd is booing Turner, who left in a trade!
Tie, end Q2, both sides turnovers, sloppily played.
Coach Brown's angry at his team's effort Q3,
Sully straight to the hoop--twice--and fouled was he.

Rondo rolled his ankle, stayed with his group!
Green running the floor! Rondo to Green, Alley-Oop!
AB FOR THREE! Cs a 9-0 run,
Rondo steal from Wroten, now that was fun!

Rondo to Bass! Nice pass!
By Q3, 18 points--season high Bass!
Turner and Zeller playing good D,
Turner to Thornton, THORNTON FOR THREE!

Cs aren't scoring in the usual way,
Every time to the hoop they're fouled on the play.
Cs up 5 to start Q4,
When Pressey goes "low," he can score!

THORNTON FOR THREE!
Turner and Pressey great D!
Season high for Thornton; Bench built a 12 point lead,
Olynyk raked across the face, hurts, didn't bleed.

Bass and Thornton are having a great night,
Wroten, MC-W keeping this game tight.
SULLY FOR THREE! Offense AND D we've seen.
Rondo to Green Alley-Oop, double double has Green.

Cs' second half effort, by 11, kept us in it,
Memphis game on Friday? We can win it ;)

SUNS OF ANARCHY

Cs want no more moral victories, they're tired of learning,
They've given up big leads. WINS they need to be earning.
Among the top teams in rebounding! Now about that Cavs game:
If Cs not over the limit 7:55 left--is the outcome the same?

(refs, to you,
I say boooo)

Bledsoe, Thomas and Dragic--Cs need transition D,
Suns, tons of Guards! 70 million, 5 years, Eric B.
AB FOR THREE! Cs a 7-0 run,
Morris Brothers--together--getting it done!

Dragic, lefty, flew by everyone, coast to coast,
Tenacious D (sorry, Jack Black), we need the most!
Pressey appearance, each team has a Green,
Suns moving the ball like a passing machine!

(Our) Green a loud dunk, two blocks has he,
It's this athletic Jeff Green I LOVE to see!
Anyone to Zeller is successful when done!
TURNER FOR THREE! Cs a 15-2 run.

Bass and his upfake--guys go for it still,
Q1, Cs within 2, stopped Suns' scoring at will.
Cs less three-point shooting, more shots at the rim.
You know Zeller's the new guy, phantom fouls on him.

Rondo--two times!--down the middle play,
Making Tommy Heinsohn's (and my) day!
First half Tyler Zeller didn't miss a shot!
He's a clever Big Man, great hands he's got.

Cs within 6 to start Q3,
Cs sloppy turnovers I hate to see!
Rondo a steal, then by AB a steal!
Suns' shooting ability seems unreal!

SULLY FOR THREE! Cs 14 down to within 1,
Every C contributing to get it done!
The Morris Brothers have almost half the Suns' score.
Jeff Green is a terrific athlete--all over the floor!

Rondo to Turner to Zeller--YIPPEE!
Zeller's stilled missed no shots! Cs within 1 end Q3.
Turner passes the ball by going up in the air:
Turnovers because that's not the way to share.

AB FOR THREE! (Tie) Pressey to Sully--WOW!
Pressey coast to coast, aggressive know-how.
Rondo to Zeller, Cs within 1,
Green hard to the hoop, Cs up 1.

Til a Morris Brother took the lead right back,
Green's turn! Excitement this game doesn't lack!
Dragic made a crazy crowded corner three,
No rhyme just JEFF GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN ;)

Sloppy turnover made me cry,
Green tried a three, halfway down--why?
Dopey plays, then Rondo's fouled on a three,
Terrible free throw shooting night had he.

That's the way the ball bounces, all I can say,
Cs showed they have heart, always come to play.

BE-REFFED, NOT "POETIC" JUSTICE

This Celtics loss against the Cavs is not on any player, but what about the Refs? This was a League Pass game--no one watching!--Cavs? In Boston? No ESPN or TNT commentary? Hmmm, free-for-all for the Refs. They didn't even consult each other on their terrible calls! Yikes. Not once! Not every call was wrong, we had silly TOs and fouls but Q4 7:55 left we were over the limit!! Not one call on the Cavs at that point! Huh?
How about when LeBaby elbowed Green, you know where, took three steps…all night long. Cannot call fouls on LeBaby in the first first half, at least. Same with Kyrie and Love, if only so they don’t start arguing with each other ;)

Plus, Rondo may be the best playmaker, maybe, but let’s remember that during games he does it by running the clock down to 11 or 9 seconds—MORE than was left in the game last night. OBVIOUSLY you want to get that ball to your most ATHLETIC or AGGRESSIVE guys, think GREEN OR SULLY OR AB…or Someone bold enough to charge to the hoop and at least get fouled!

We were there!! The crowd went nuts over several calls. Brad pretty much maintained his calm demeanor—surprise. A few times he sort of argued. He needs to go nuts, get T’d up, show the kids some emotion, let them follow his lead. If he’s calm throughout the game, the kids start to hang their heads, lose focus, NOT get angry. Even putting Wallace in early Q4 to be mad at the calls and get the kids riled up would have been better. Walter McCarty could make some noise! Someone so the kids know someone has their back(s)!

The air went out of the building when Rondo got that ball at the end, like collectively we knew: he would dance around dribbling, wouldn’t look for Green, et al….Did think he would get a shot off but Marion was on him! Vet! He’s not going to foul the dribbling Rondo. Ugh. Heartbreak on Causeway Street!

STORM...ZONE: THUNDEROUS LOSS

Last time OKC was here they were down the same two,
Rondo remembers, huge loss, so much we didn't do.
Thornton sprained his ankle, may miss a game or so.
Brad's plan continues, Pace and Space--give and go!

Dirk most prolific foreign-born scorer, as of yesterday.
Kobe most misses ever (beat Havlicek)--here to stay.
Sully opened the game--and again--pick and pop,
Silly early fouls on Olynyk have to STOP!

Ibaka has improved in every way he can,
Without KD and Westbrook should he be The Man?
RONDO FOR THREE! Cs a 14-0 run,
Nice ovation for Perk! 6 rebounds Rondo Q1.

OKC's playing zone, perimeter shooting from each C,
0.5 left on the clock, JEFF GREEN....ow, no Three.
Great pass by Green, Zeller a seriously hard run!
On 54% shooting, Cs up 9 end Q1.

Wallace is in the game, love his veteran ways,
Important to our second unit, he can set up plays.
Perk three hoops in a row; he made it a game,
Cs turnovers and sloppy play are mostly to blame!

OLYNYK FOR THREE! Turner can pass that ball!
OKC's zone's a problem--give Jim Boeheim a call!
Always with dignity and grace plays Brandon Bass,
Hope on any trade for him the Celtics will pass!

We know Rondo is a player with many a quirk,
Adorable dribble behind his back--just for Perk ;)
AB FOR THREE! Cs with turnovers galore.
Did I mention I love Green running the floor?

RONDO FOR THREE! Rondo steal! AB FOR THREE!
On a 49% shooting half, Cs up 9 (again) start Q3.
Sully started Q3 the way he started Q1,
OKC's first lead ended any Q3 fun.

Jackson's buzzer three kept the Cs within 4, start Q4.
Cs jacking up threes, using only part of the floor!
Good for him, YOUNG FOR THREE!
Cs still can't handle the zone from OKC.

Jackson and Morrow crazy, whole team in the paint,
Because of the zone, exactly where the Cs ain't.
No answer for Jackson, Cs forgot to play D.
RONDO FOR THREE! FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!

Cs had a 15 point lead in Q1,
And lost by 15 when the game was done.
Cs can't handle the zone, the famous two three,
Think we would have done better with Westbrook and KD?

BULLFIGHT

Word is Smart will be out two weeks to three,
Great, but sounds like wishful thinking to me.
Rondo is out, removed the screws in his hand;
Brad found out last night about this surgery planned!

Bulls' Dunleavy's been on fire; they have Gasol and Noah,
Cs have to be aggressive and make the Bulls go slowuh!
Turner's first season start, but 7 of 8 games preseason,
Turner, AB first scorers, opportunities they are seizin'.

GREEN FOR THREE! Olynyk block, nice D,
Cs aggressive early, OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Cs' 10 point lead was quickly undone.
Bulls a 23-8 run, Cs within 5 end Q1.

Pressey's doing a good job! GREEN FOR THREE!
A chance to build confidence, PRESSEY FOR THREE!
Zeller's running the floor, for rhyming call him Z,
Made his last nine shots, showing skills is he.

Cs a 17-4 run, mostly Green and AB,
Cs fast-paced transition! GWallace we see!
Cs up 15 at the end of Q2!
Turner got 49 tickets-showing what he can do.

Sully to Turner a beautiful play,
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Cs are here to stay?
Answering Brooks, THORNTON FOR THREE!
Cs are hustling, energetic--love Pressey to Z.

On 60% shooting, Cs up 16 to start Q4,
THESE Cs are so creative in the ways they score!
Big time shots by Thornton, once in one goes,
Love Wallace on the floor for the vet things he knows.

As always, because of his dignity and class,
I love--and please don't trade--Brandon Bass!
In the United Arena it is always so loud,
Not til near mid Q4 did we hear from the crowd.

Bulls making their move on an awful (for the) Cs call,
Bulls 20-8 run, playing Bulls Basketball.
Brooks on fire! Brooks fouled out!
CELTICS WIN!! (singing)...makes me wanna shout!

Rose-less, Rondo-less, no Smart, too,
I love how these Cs showed what they can do!!

THAT SMARTS

WE WERE THERE

It wasn’t fair,
To see a rolled ankle Smart
Broke my heart….
Rondo’s game was a little messy
Which only served to make look good—Pressey .
Gerald Wallace played like the vet,
He started it all for the win to get!
Phew! Exhausting was the game we’ve seen.
Hooray for jeff Green—and GO GREEN!

THAT'S A RAP...TOR

No Valanciunis, No A. Johnson for the Raptors tonight,
Olynyk's first hoop started the Cs' game off right!
Green is aggressive, showing the young 'uns the way.
GREEN FOR THREE! Feels like a better day!

2 fouls on AB, not even three minutes gone by,
Ball movement, aggression, 9 for 9...oh, my!
SMART FOR THREE! SMART FOR THREE!
Cs up 12 end Q1, 79% (!!) shooting...yippee.

Low post moves by Sully, just what we need;
Turnovers hurt us, they pile up with speed.
As the Raptors built "Steams-ma," AB FOR THREE!
Rondo pushing coast to coast, not one time but three!

Huge rebounding edge to the Cs. But TOs galore
Can't take away from the Cs' effort on the floor.
DeMar DeRozan--my favorite player name--
Is showing he knows how to play this game.

Green is aggressive playing D,
Few things of beauty like his three.
Phantom fouls on AB, and of course, on Smart,
Raptors a 15-0 run, Olynyk & Green still have heart.

Q2 35% shooting (yikes), Cs up 3 start Q3,
Good hustle all Cs; OLYNYK FOR THREE!
AB FOR THREE! 32 year old ref--bad--new to the group.
Rajon Rondo to Jeff Green--alley-oop!

AB FOR THREE! Cs starters' figures all double,
Cs a 10-2 run. Lowry, Patterson causing trouble.
Raptors a 7-0 run, Bass put an end to that,
At no time in this game has either team been flat.

Smart hard to the hoop, this kid can play!
Olynyk double double. Fouls going Raptors' way.
Rondo double double, Thornton coming alive,
He can handle the ball, that's where he can thrive.

To end Q3, Raptors a 6-0 run,
Cs within 2 when it was done ;(
Crowd finally in it to start Q4,
Cs vs Raptors AND refs--tough to score.

Sully double double. Wish the crowd were in it,
Cs need that boost if they're going to win it.
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Green hard to the hoop.
GREEN FOR THREE! Lotta heart this group!

Rondo triple double! SMART FOR THREE!
DeRozan a loud dunk, foul on Olynyk--Really?
Cs within 3--but that's the end of the game.
Despite the Cs hard work the turnovers came.

Every Celtic played hard as could be,
Earned respect and the honor to be called a C.

CLOSE BUT NO (CUBAN?) CIGAR

Marcus Smart is HOME, 30 tickets were hot,
He's excited to see the fam and friends he's got!
RUN DMC cover, here's the link:

http://youtu.be/M01_ykXJ3mc

Mavs should stick with BBall, don't you think?

Turnover, Green steal, thunderous dunk, first hoop,
GREEN FOR THREE! Rondo to Green--alley-oop!
Parsons is good in transition, Dirk has that three,
Remember Chandler in a Mavs uniform we used to see!

Mavs have many scorers, Cs need to find some D,
Smart an early lay-up--that was nice to see.
Mavs keep attacking the hoop, right through the Cs,
Brad trying the Bench, opportunities to seize?

Child Marcus promised Mom if he made an NBA team,
He would buy her a home--yesterday realized that dream!
Q1 Mavs consecutive shots were missed--never!
Cs within 21...I've no recap too clever.

Green a left-handed hook, AB FOR THREE!
When the Cs move the ball...GREEN FOR THREE!
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Cs within 26 end Q2,
Only Green was aggressive, showed what he can do.

Cs a 6-0 run, then GREEN FOR THREE! FOR THREE!
Mavs (Q3 struggles) looking flat on D.
AB FOR THREE! Rondo to Zeller looks great,
From 31 down, Cs briefly within 8!

Mavs a 9-2 run; Turner and Zeller got going,
Cs' share a competitive spirit that's clearly showing!
Green turning the corner is a beautiful sight to see!
(Somehow) Cs within 12 to end Q3.

How did Rondo strip Chandler?? AB FOR THREE!
High bouncing ball--again AB FOR THREE!
Brad told the guys in the huddle, paraphrase for rhyme,
You need to decide who will win! Now is the time....

Terrible offensive foul called on Rondo. Hooray for Smart,
Playing at home--offense, defense--he is all heart.
Cs bodies flying--AB steal, Smart D, Sully score,
Cs within 4, minutes left...4.

Smart is Smart--SMART FOR THREE!!
A flurry from Dallas, so hard to see ;(
GREEN FOR THREE, AB got three free throws,
He was able to make only two of those.

But, oh what we learned about our Cs tonight,
They hate to lose and are willing to fight.
Now our team knows it's FOUR Quarters not 2--
Excited to see what these Cs can do!

"HOUSTON, WE'VE HAD A PROBLEM." ~Jim Lovell

Rondo organized a team dinner. Hours? Three?
Bonding experience--no more information gave he!
Two in a row in Texas, like a long weekend away.
Terrible early calls on Cs, Brad wants to let 'em play.

Cs getting great shots but they're not going in,
Rockets can't miss, not just DH and Harden....
Only Bass is making buckets in his poised way,
Cs need to calm down, get organized and play.

For the Cs one and done every time down the floor,
At will all the Rockets (JET three) seem to score.
Cs within 15 to start Q2,
Rockets' Harden on the bench, scoring's hard to do.

Cs too many turnovers plus struggling with the three,
Our rebounding is abysmal, that's on every C!
Rockets 20-2 made free throws, Cs within 19 (hmmm) end Q2,
More than guarding DH12 the Cs have to do.

Oh so desperately this season in Rondo we trust,
But in this second game (not the first) he's showing rust.
Rockets' play is uninspired, Sully is showing some fight,
Cs a 9-0 run but it is still a long night.

Halfway through Q3, free throws twenty-eight to four,
It is not because the Cs aren't running the floor!
Rondo a dunk! That was fun to see.
Silly foul--his fifth--picked up by AB.

Foul trouble the whole game made Brad's job rough,
Free throws thirty-eight to six is even more tough.
Neither team's shooting percentage is very high,
But Cs' 0 for 21 threes makes me want to cry.

Cs within 19 to start Q4,
Good effort but Cs are falling all over the floor!
Sully playing hard, took an elbow from Dwight,
Who flashed his grin, tech on Sully, what a night!

GREEN FOR THREE! Cs are 1 for 25, record, too,
Hope he'll remember next game what he can do!
No flow tonight, Young and Pressey got time,
To describe this evening I have run out of rhyme.

Rockets won this game, not because of what they did;
It was the refs plus...the Cs' hoop had an invisible lid.

HUSTLE & FLOW

PACE AND SPACE is Brad's Coaching Plan,
Tonight Rondo will play as much as he can.
First bucket of the season--Jeff Green, Jeff Green!
AB FOR THREE! Lots of D we've seen.

Silly early whistles, GREEN FOR THREE!
Quick pace game, crowd is cheering KG!
SULLY FOR THREE! Rondo great passing,
Stats, not shots/points, he is amassing!

OLYNYK FOR THREE! Turnovers are mounting,
Hustle and enthusiasm, that's what I'm counting!
Gotta love Thornton, Turner, they can score.
The Secaucus Replay Center? We'll surely hear more.

Bass upfake, upfake and a glorious dunk,
Coming off the bench, he's in no funk.
Cs open the season with style, up 9 end Q1!
Watching Rondo handle the ball is so much fun!

Rondo to Zeller, Zeller, Zeller, picking apart the Nets' D,
So much unexpected defense from Thornton we see!
THORNTON FOR THREE! Cs on a 17-1 run,
Cs up 26--61% shooting--when the half was done!

Nets were aggressive with early Q3 score,
Fun watching Big Man Olynyk run the floor!
GREEN FOR THREE! Rondo twice high off the glass,
Then there's his jump shot, Nets expecting the pass.

WOW! For a double double, RONDO FOR THREE!
Bass gathers himself well, ever dignified is he.
Long passes, heads up play, Olynyk and Green,
Sensational defense--more than we have seen!

SMART FOR THREE! Make that a four point play,
With the Nets the Celtics are having their way!
Cs up 29--still 61%--to start Q4,
Again Nets started this Q with plenty of score!

Smart had four steals, a skill he can hone,
At his young age so much he has shown!
Green seems calm, not the Number One Guy,
Best stats ever last year, only he knows why!

Confrontation with Olynyk? Technical on KG ;(
Olynyk kept touching him so the rebound he didn't see!
Game is ending with silly fouls, like they were in Q1,
These aggressive, hustling Celtics are so much fun!

Cs by 16--undefeated, fans and coaches this will please!
Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemistry with capital...Cs!

(Parrish, Willis, Kareem--just those three,
Played 20 seasons just like KG).

**Terrence Howard would be my choice
To do an imitation of Paul Pierce's voice ;)

PHILLY GEEZ STAKES

One last road game, against the Sixers tonight,
Rondo's in; Bayless, Sully, Hump still not right.
Ainge is in the house, we'll get to hear him,
Carter-Williams first shot, no one was near him.

Green, Bass, Green started off for the Cs.
This is the Jeff Green the fans will please.
AB FOR THREE! Young's elbow--Rondo's nose,
He looked groggy! Bad pun to say that blows?

GREEN FOR THREE! Carter-Williams scoring most,
Followed immediately by Olynyk going coast to coast.
Pressey to Green--alley oop,
Love this aggressive Celtics group.

Rondo came back, two early fouls on Bass.
On $3.8 million do you think J. Anthony will pass?
Sixers a 20-10 run, Vintage Rondo to the rim,
Good hustle, good passes, great playing by him!

Cs and Sixers tied to start Q2,
Fun to watch what comes from Olynyk's IQ.
Sixers max scoring in the paint,
Same old problem: where the Cs ain't.

Philly a 12-0 run, stopped by Bass,
BABB FOR THREE! Pressey can pass!
Second most points in a half given up by the Cs,
Within 17 start Q3--Philly Geez....

Sixers need no help from the refs! Olynyk got hot,
AB looking for his offense, Rondo finding his shot.
Quiet night from Bass until Q3,
Two hands on the ball like we always see.

Ainge keeps saying we need protection around the rim.
Joel Anthony's job in Miami--what's that say about him?
OLYNYK FOR THREE! AB FOR THREE!
Cs a 16-4 run, JOHNSON FOR THREE!

JOHNSON FOR THREE! Cs within 2 start Q4,
Love that Pressey to Olynyk combo to score.
That's all she "Wroten," there's a good line there,
Sixers getting lots from MC-W and Casper Ware.

GREEN FOR THREE! Green playing the Four,
Plus the Cs have three guards on the floor.
MC-W coast to coast, Cs on and off D,
Olynyk subbed in, OLYNYK FOR THREE!

Rondo's been hustling second half, Cs in this race,
New career high for Olynyk, plays well at this pace!
Refs called a foul on Olynyk hard charge he was taking,
Reviewed a long time, wrong choice they're still making.

Both teams the bottom of the League, still it's the game,
Refs' calls at each end should have to be the same.
Refs long review again--was Olynyk's two a three?
Of course not, no calls if you're a C.

Two times (maybe) the Cs couldn't get the ball in,
Double digits Green, AB, Olynyk--wanna win!
Sixers in bounds pass, Cs stole the ball!
Johnson for three but an out of bounds call.

Refs 113, Cs 108, what a shame,
Terrible way to call and end a game.

EIGHT MEN...IN

No Rondo, No Sully, No Bayless, No Hump,
Changing Line Ups all night our Coach Brad will stump.
(Not many) Cs playing in Cleveland against Kyrie and crew,
Our young guys are auditioning, see what they can do.

Cs first time this season at this home of The Cav,
Memorable was the last visit Jeff Green did have.
With his Heart Surgeon in the crowd--very sweet hug,
At all our "heart" strings that moment did tug.

Hawes, Center, fewer free throws than he takes threes.
Speaking of centers, Olynyk's playing Center for the Cs.
Green aggressive early, hard each time to the hoop!
Babb, Johnson and Anthony are tonight's Bench Group.

Bass.
Class.
OLYNYK FOR THREE! AB FOR THREE!
Cs a 21-6 run, Pressey's on Irving, great D!

On 45% shooting, Cs up 10 start Q2,
Anthony scored! Guys on the bench liked it, too.
Pressey MONSTER TIP accompanied by a yell!
All his teammates enjoying seeing him play well.

OLYNYK FOR THREE! Since Pressey was in grade eight,
He played Kyrie and Waiters--both said he's doing great!
AB FOR THREE! Then a MONSTER TIP by AB,
Cavs an 8-0 run, til Bass, an old-fashioned three.

AB FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!
Cs excellent ball movement, very aggressive, great D.
Good tempo, fun game--see what the Kids can do,
Olynyk coast to coast, Cs up 18 end Q2.

GREEN FOR THREE! AB FOR THREE!
Cs 23-4 run (9 for 9), starting in Q3.
Cavs a 9-0 run. Olynyk double double tonight,
Seems every Celtic is doing all things right!

AB FOR THREE! BABB FOR THREE! Cs having fun!
I say they've earned it! Cs a 10-0 run.
This game speaks to the character of tonight's eight,
(And to Brad's coaching skills). Short-handed, played great!

Cs up 31 to start Q4,
GREEN FOR THREE! Hard up the floor.
Anthony great D, must throw an offensive party,
He's making progress, so says Walter MCCarty!

PRESSEY FOR THREE!
Monster dunk by Cavs' Gee.
Teams out of the playoffs, neither showed quit,
Cs' lead as high as 33, lost some of it.

Career high minutes Olynyk, could see he was tired,
Tied his career high score (25), up he was fired!
Cavs a 17-0 run, stopped finally by Bass,
Who can do his money shot off almost any pass.

Olynyk fouled out, Cavs made a late run,
Not enough! The streak continues! CELTICS WON!

FIGHTING LIKE CATS AND DOGS

Rondo's not playing because of his sore shin,
Cs drafted Jefferson ten years ago--a lottery win.
No Kemba for the Bobcats, his groin is strained.
Brad's focused on games end, our rep is stained.

AB FOR THREE! SULLY FOR THREE!
Pressey started; great offense Green, AB.
GREEN FOR THREE! Good to see Hump back,
Think Cs want to keep him, but money we may lack.

How the mind wanders watching our late season games:
Are the Bobcats the team with the most hyphenated names?
Both teams 50%+ shooting, Cs within 1 end Q1.
OLYNYK FOR THREE! OLYNYK FOR THREE! Fun!

Confident Pressey great assists! AB FOR THREE!
PRESSEY FOR THREE! Neither team's playing D.
Cats Kidd-Gilchrist can block, good shooting Neal.
Cs were down 9, then up 2, end Q2...good deal.

Two quick fouls on Sully to start Q3,
For the Cats Henderson--foul trouble has he.
AB FOR THREE! PRESSEY FOR THREE!
Great job on Henderson--his Dad was a C--by AB

Sully rolled his ankle, to the locker room for retaping,
Pressey as PG--differently the team he's shaping.
Cats a 6-0 run. Let's hear a shout out to Bass,
Always improving--with dignity and class.

Cs a 12-0 run; refs called a 5 second (?) on the Cs,
In the replay no one was there, Tommy yelled, "Puhlease!"
Pressey, what a steal! A steal! Cs up 9 start Q4.
Hump great save! Cs aggressive on the floor!

Pressey coast to coast, second double double, career.
Cs, from Q3, 18-2 run. Play our crowd can cheer!
Cats a 10-0 run. Phew! Stopped by a shot by AB,
Bayless in the locker room, sprained his right knee.

Douglas-Roberts quite a flop, phantom foul on AB,
That will go the League Office for them to see.
SULLY FOR THREE! Here's a thought I'm not fond o':
With Pressey, maybe "fireworks" will mean trading Rondo.

AB steal! Pressey pass, AB FOR THREE!
Green, shot clock ran down, Sully had to try a three.
All Cs starters double digits, all Cs free throws made,
The best Q4--and game--the Cs have played!

A final peek
At a winning streak!

Cs' WHOAS

Last road trip of the season, in Atlanta, no snoozin'--
Cs are on a streak of eight games losing.
Calling the game with Gorman are Herren and Ainge,
The season being done in April feels strange.

Will we see chemistry between Rondo and AB?
Against the Hawks, and every team, Cs must play D!
ALLEY-OOP--Rondo to Green,
Hawks lead in threes--so we've seen.

BAYLESS FOR THREE! More than 50% shooting,
Ainge won't say if he's a free agent we are recruiting.
Ainge says Cs playing hard, but little communication and D,
Hawks hardly missing. OLYNYK FOR THREE!

JOHNSON FOR THREE! Cs within 9 end Q1
Easy for teams in the paint to get it done.
Over and over, tape watching, by a sleepless Coach Brad:
After Pistons loss watched Bayless' shot rim out, out...sad.

AB FOR THREE! Cs a 19-7 run,
Listening to Ainge discuss Green was informative and fun.
Says expectations too high, Cs have worked with him,
To get him to rebound, play D and develop rhythm.

RONDO FOR THREE! Cs within 5 start Q3,
Cs were down 14 early, now they're playing some D!
A new trend? Rondo passing to Green in the post,
Both athletic enough to fly coast to coast.

Cs had a lead briefly til Teague scored a quick five,
AB FOR THREE! FOR THREE! Cs look alive!
Ainge loves us Fans, no others can compare,
Hawks playing for their berth. It's like no one is there.

Ainge: for all young players conditioning is the key,
A fit, consistent Sully and Olynyk he hopes to see.
A talkative Ainge said very little about Bass,
Do you think that means on him we will pass?

Cs a 21-9 run, Rondo foul number four.
Ainge: "hoping" for fireworks, he has an open door!
GREEN FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!
Cs played D! Up 7 at the end of Q3.

"Stay Together!" is the constant message from Brad,
The ONE consistent element these Cs have had.
Cs excellent hustle! AB FOR THREE!
Looks like a great combo: Rondo and AB.

Hawks a 10-0 run, Rondo dribbling too much,
Often allowing the Hawks one extra touch.
SULLY FOR THREE! Korver, Brand make us pay,
Near the end of games (quarters), Cs HALT THEIR PLAY!

Questioning the refs....RONDO FOR THREE!
This kind of game we too often see:
We start out slowly, then find our way,
For two and a half quarters we can play.

Then we struggle at the end of the game.
Like the streak of 8 losses, this one ends the same.

"DON'T FIND FAULT, FIND A REMEDY...." Henry Ford

Cs are in Detroit, no Rondo, no AB,
Also no Hump, tendinitis in his knee.
Pressey with the start, he can hustle and pass,
Pistons 5-0 run, Cs first score by Bass.

Mostly on TOs, Cs a 6-0 run,
SULLY FOR THREE! On his first one!
The Athletic Green went hard to the hoop,
SULLY FOR THREE! High scorer for our group.

Cs great ball movement, Pistons not known for D,
Combo platter rotations, PRESSEY FOR THREE!
On 60% shooting, Cs up 3 end Q1.
Cs started Q2 on a 9-0 run.

BAYLESS FOR THREE! Not many a foul call,
Usually means neither team's aggressive with the ball.
BAYLESS FOR THREE! Cs run 18-5,
GREEN FOR THREE! THREE! Cs lookin' alive!

Flagrant called on Bayless, tho he had mostly ball,
Even (really) tried to help Singler as he started to fall.
Green 158 games since his operated on heart,
Streak goes back to last season--at the start.

Refs started whistling, they wanted something to do,
GREEN FOR THREE! Cs up 10 end Q2.
PRESSEY FOR THREE! BAYLESS FOR THREE!
Fighting for a contract, practically every C.

SULLY FOR THREE! Again Bayless is hot,
SULLY FOR THREE! Well...again, Bayless is hot!
Who are THESE Cs? BAYLESS FOR THREE!
13-4 run by the team with a P.

Bass over Drummond! A dunk very loud,
Pistons two rapid TOs led to boos from the crowd.
Cs were up 19, still up 10 start Q4,
Good hustle Babb--he (with the ball) hit the floor!

Uh Oh, Cs are jacking up that three,
Ball movement stopped if you're a C.
Pressey hustled coast to coast to coast,
Of all the Cs he moves the ball the most!

Pistons went on a 15-4 run,
Cs' 19 point lead was suddenly done.
Pressey first double double of his career!
"Stay Together! Stay Together!" Brad's rallying cheer.

BAYLESS FOR THREE! A two the first call,
Drummond seems to rebound or tip in every ball.
Terrible call (5th) on Pressey, Pistons took the lead,
Bayless' three didn't go in,
Cs didn't win....

BTW, Piston Stuckey has the perfect name,
That's what the ball was when he was in the game ;)

UCONN...HUSKIES! UCONN...HUSKIES!

76TH (-ers) GAME OF THE SEASON

East bottom teams tonight, worst two and four,
That's who's playing on the hallowed Gahden floor.
Sixers' Rookie MC Williams is a local guy,
To contain Rondo he'll have to try.

Strained right Achilles, no AB tonight,
Philly 6-0 run, the crowd seems uptight.
BAYLESS FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!
Ball movement and shots from the Sixers we see.

Both teams fumbled at the buzzer, Cs with 6 start Q2,
Cs have no energy, their shots won't go through.
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Bayless an offensive spark,
Cs couldn't shoot worse if the Gahden were dark.

BAYLESS FOR THREE! Cs offensive rebounds are hot,
Again, doesn't that mean we just couldn't make a shot?
Cs tied the game, Bayless and Bass the reason,
The latter's improved (!) and played hard all season.

BAYLESS FOR THREE! Hustle, JOHNSON FOR THREE!
Cs from 8 down early to up 2 start Q3.
Leon Powe brought our Trophy to Fenway today!
(I miss him). Wants to own an NBA franchise one day!

BAYLESS FOR THREE! Rondo's game's almost back,
First triple double of the year, still no back to back.
Sixers an 8-2 run, Cs within 5 start Q4,
Combo Platter line ups Brad has on the floor.

Good shots Hump, Pressey great steal!
With which of the young guys will the Cs make a deal?
Green took few shots--hard to get passes from Rondo,
When Bayless is in, too--dribbling plays I'm not fond o'!

OLYNYK FOR THREE! Too late in the game,
Cs looked disjointed, rhythm, and D, never came.
Bass double double, not enough he could do,
Another tough loss, glad the crowd didn't Boo (Hoo).

"THIS SILVER LINING THING IS WEARING A LITTLE THIN...." Brad Stevens

In DC. No AB, tho not yet out for the season,
For other teams to pay him they'll need a good reason.
His ankles, his Achilles, is he injury prone?
Recognizing his skills Cs won't be alone.

Green's Home Arena, he lives twenty minutes away.
Brad's earliest time out--ever, Wiz came to play.
Marc Davis is a ref, hope Brad stays in the game.
Cs' D is non-existent, offense is the same.

Vintage Rondo: the sly, fake pass and the hoop,
Green! Rondo (wow)! Olynyk! Signs of life in our group!
Coast to coast--Olynyk--buzzer! Cs within 8 start Q2,
3rd foul, 8 minutes Olynyk, what can a Rookie do?

Mid Q2 phantom fouls (Ref Davis?) on the Cs galore.
Joel Anthony showing hustle both ends of the floor.
Cs can't make a three (stop)! TOs. And Gortat.
These are the obstacles the Cs have got.

At the buzzer, SULLY FOR THREE!
Cs saw single digits--within 11 start Q3.
Wiz took off, biggest lead of the night,
Beal hasn't missed. Our D's just not right,

Q3 Hump is the first C able to score,
Wish he played all Qs 1 through 4.
JOHNSON FOR THREE! Wiz still have Gortat.
And Beal keeps making his same shot.

Wall has had over 7000 touches this year,
Why he leads in turnovers should be clear.
Cs have been nowhere near the paint,
And have no D. Wiz--missing they ain't.

Wiz can clinch a playoff spot, Cs within 27 start Q4,
Wiz jacking up shots/threes from all over the floor.
Cs Bench outscoring Wiz's but it's not enough,
On a night when shots won't go and the opponent's too tough.

Cs a 9-0 run, Sully a high (quiet) scoring game,
Right from the first tip, the Wiz came...and came!
JOHNSON FOR THREE! THREE! But the game is done,
That's how it was from the start of Q1.

THE CAPTAIN AND THE...BOOTH?

Tonight Rondo's sitting out, still an impression will last,
As with Gorman he calls the game, his first broadcast!
Home and home, back to back, Cs' and Bulls' joints.
Noooo! Is Maxwell giving Rondo some talking points?

Bayless in for Rondo who says he creates his own shot,
A polite way of describing that dribbling habit he's got?
Can't argue with his competitiveness, he gets going!
He'd like to stay a Celtic, his skills he is showing.

Bulls Mascot dropping popcorn on Rondo's head.
Bulls a 6-0 run, Cs have not led.
BAYLESS FOR THREE! BAYLESS FOR THREE!
Cs a 10-2 run, then a lead we did see!

Rondo's doing a great job, Cs within 1 end Q1,
Cs great ball movement, some D, an 8-0 run!
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Johnson always comes to play--
So said Rondo--from his very first day.

Pressey great play at both ends of the floor!
Cs no transition D helps the Bulls score.
Bulls went on an 11-2 run,
Cs were up 9, then 2, when Q2 was done.

(Ugh) Maxwell in for Rondo to start Q3,
Second half AB is out, a sore ankle has he.
GREEN FOR THREE! Refs are ruling this game.
For them there's no consequence, it's a shame.

Bass overpowered Noah, used a little sky hook!
Cs aggressive on D--a new (great) look.
Bulls an 8-0 run, are the Cs out of gas?
Bench came in, rest for Green, Hump, Bass.

PRESSEY FOR THREE! Gotta close the quarter,
Well, said Rondo, who was a great reporter!
Cs within 1 to start Q4,
Bulls a 13-0 run, Cs can't score.

Cs relying on perimeter shooting, too tired for paint,
Noah's great in Q4s, missing shots the Bulls ain't.
BAYLESS FOR THREE! BAYLESS FOR THREE!
When the game looks over, his best skills we see.

Bass played great. Cs had heart, showed no quit!
Playoff hopes are gone, we'll get over it.
We're building with these pieces, we'll get more,
Next season we'll have a better team on the floor.

BIRDS OF PRAY

In odd NBA scheduling we're in Toronto tonight,
Raptors in Boston, now we're here--does that seem right?
Speaking of odd, it is happening twice in a row:
Bulls in Boston Sunday. Monday to Chicago Cs go.

No back to back Monday, broadcasting won't be the same,
Rondo, with Gorman, will call Q1, second Bulls game.
His stiff neck is better, GREEN FOR THREE!
Cs great ball movement Brad must be happy to see.

Bass has improved his game through hard work and will,
Tonight we discovered he has jump ball skill.
Raptors an 8-2 run, Cs within 6 end Q1,
BAYLESS FOR THREE! Raptors still on a run.

Salmons often has a great night against the Cs,
He always goes right! Someone notice--please!
SULLY FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!
Enough DeMar DeRozan (great name)! Where's our D?

Rondo to Hump! To Hump! Cs a 15-5 run,
Lowry rolled his ankle twice, taping will be done.
Raptors outscored Cs in the paint, most teams do,
Cs within 3 at the end of Q2.

Cs back to back TOs, then AB FOR THREE!
Too much Hayes, Lowry and Ross for me.
Cs trying some D, Brad tells 'em play together,
Vasquez, Raptors 10-3 storm hard to weather.

Valanciunas is huge! Cs within 12 start Q4,
Bayless coast to coast! Bayless! We want more!
Cs vs....DeRozan. A Chris Johnson sighting,
Bayless angry and competitive, Cs keep fighting!

Great steal Pressey! Cs a 15-2 run,
BAYLESS FOR THREE! Cs Bench getting it done!
Tied! Under a minute! Great block by Green!
When we say he's athletic, that's what we mean!

We have a Johnson, Raptors have one, too,
7 seconds left, theirs gave 'em a lead of 2.
Cs came from way behind--a loss so slight,
Raptors made the playoffs with the win tonight.

NOTHING BUT...

In Brooklyn, no KG. Uni color looks off on PP.
Nets wearing sleeved jerseys--still look silly to me.
DWill vs Rajon Rondo: Size vs Speed,
AB FOR THREE! Ankle pain he doesn't need.

RONDO FOR THREE! BAYLESS FOR THREE!
It's all of the Cs against Mason Plumlee.
GREEN FOR THREE! Cs great, offensive glass,
Led early by Hump and Brandon Bass.

Been waiting for those moments--athletic Green!
Nets beating us in the paint, too often seen.
Cs within 6 to start Q2,
Watching AB take Livingston is fun to do!

Coach Adams has worked with Rondo and AB
Individual shooting drills, the proof we can see!
AB FOR THREE! CRAZY! AB FOR THREE!
Smiles exchanged among Green, Rondo and PP.

AB 23 in the half! Cs within 10 end Q2,
AB FOR THREE! Wow! What Plumlee can do!
Joe Johnson not missing; Cs playing no D,
Finally Bass on the inside--more of this let's see.

Cs shooting woes continue, Brad must feel faint,
Nets an obscene number of points in the paint.
Babb went to practice yesterday, bags all packed,
Until the last moment (phew) a contract he lacked!

Joe Johnson is scoring out of his mind,
Against the Cs his game he can find.
Cs within 16 to start Q4,
Who's our Go-To Guy who can consistently score?

BAYLESS FOR THREE! That's a start,
No matter the struggles these Cs play with heart.
At last, Athletic Green went hard to the hoop.
Pierce loves to play basketball--with any group!

Olynyk fouled out, terrible night for him,
He wasn't alone, Cs had no rhythm.
Nice block and D, Anthony, showed good hustle.
Nets fouling Sully using extra muscle.

Rondo double double. So quick is AB,
Kept us in the game early. Career high has he.
BABB FOR THREE! Cs weren't ever in it.
Nets played well, guess they deserved to win it.

I GOT...S-S-STEAM HEAT

First time Heat's in the building since last March,
Green great, but game was won by the enemy arch.
Oden is out, doesn't play back to back,
With back spasms Lebaby Miami does lack.

GREEN FOR THREE! Heat dominating in the paint,
Easy for them--shots from wherever the Cs ain't.
Beasley plays well against the Cs, always the same.
Haslem, in Q1, is already having a career game.

SULLY FOR THREE! SULLY FOR THREE!
Cs missing shots, not playing much D.
Cs were outrebounded, within 12 start Q2.
When Ray came in there was less yay than boo.

AB FOR THREE! Cs need some open court play,
Heat not much D, Cs could have their way.
BAYLESS FOR THREE! AB, OLYNYK FOR THREE!
Signs of the Old Ray Allen we don't want to see.

When the Cs move the ball they get down in the post,
Tho it's perimeter shooting they've been doing the most.
Interesting: Haslem born in Miami, there for high school,
College, too. 11 years on the Heat--cool.

GREEN FOR THREE! Cs within 6 start Q3,
Miami outrebounds no one--but us? How can that be?
Finally! Some pick and roll, Cs hard to the hoop,
Good to see other than threes from our group!

AB FOR THREE! Vintage Rondo--pass to Green,
First few minutes Q3 most moving we've seen.
Cs a brief lead, Heat a 6-0 run,
Down from their 71% shooting in Q1.

Heat got sloppy, back and forth went the lead,
Cs stopped walking the ball up, offense we need.
Bass, Cs great hustle, AB FOR THREE!
Green took a charge, great Q Bass and AB!

Improved shooting to 50%, Cs up 2 start Q4.
Olynyk's developing rhythm and learning to score!
AB FOR THREE! Coach Adams helped him, Rondo, too.
Different practice routines he makes each player do.

Tonight Rondo is clearly the King of the Assist,
Mostly because of the shots the Cs haven't missed.
All of a sudden the game got crazy,
Cs turned the ball over on passes so lazy.

Ninth tie of the game, (ugh) on free throws by Ray,
Heat's Chris Anderson hustles on every play.
Crowd confused, cheering both teams in Our Place,
Olynyk--inadvertent hit--has a bloody face.

Then Cs great ball movement! GREEN FOR THREE!
Career high threes--at six--for AB!
The Crowd has decided! They are roaring!
Bass stepped up, Rondo rebounding and scoring!

Cs, led by the Captain, had a game so nice--
One of only three teams to beat the Heat twice!
So the Season Series vs Heat goes to the Cs,
Coach, Fans, Players--everyone--this does please!

GOOD DAY TO THINK GREEN

Green struggles when Rondo is not in the game,
From AB and Bayless the ball never came!
Same kind of game for Brandon Bass,
Who was going to send him a pass?
Love Sully’s effort, also love Hump’s,
When these Cs play, could be down in the dumps.
But instead they have heart and are always in it,
One of these games we’re gonna win it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DANNY AINGE (anyway)

0 and 15 against the West a franchise record on the road,
Cs (playing the Mavericks) are carrying quite a load.
St. Patrick's Day unis, with those sleeves, who did choose
These unattractive jerseys,  Garanimals...or Underoos?

Hump great D, Bass and AB good start here,
Bass played for the Mavs early in his career.
BAYLESS FOR THREE! Hump incredible D,
I keep mentioning it because (please) a keeper is he!

Sully against Marion, better than Dirk was for him.
Playing pretty good D plus some offensive rhythm.
Johnson is bold, love when he goes hard to the hoop,
Playing both ends of the floor, wants to stay with this group.

Cs within 4 at the end of Q1
Cs went on an 8-0 run.
PRESSEY FOR THREE! JOHNSON FOR THREE!
Double the rebounds (Hump!) for the team with a C!

PRESSEY FOR THREE! Carter looks like...Carter,
Cs Bench, man for man, better than each starter.
Mavs an 11-3 run, Cs within 7 start Q3,
Sully game high in the half, 11 points has he.

Green in this game just doesn't look right,
He complained of a headache earlier tonight.
Sully came in and sparked the Cs!
GREEN FOR THREE! More offense please.

ATO, Cs went on a 9-0 run,
Brad said stay aggressive, this game's not done!
Olynyk took a charge, it was from Dirk,
For the kid a highlight, worth all the work!

Cs down 15, got within 3 start Q4,
Great play Sully, both ends of the floor!
Pressey great save, got his own rebound,
Lucky Chris Johnson was hanging around!

OLYNYK FOR THREE! Mavs have Harris and Wright,
Plus Dirk, Carter, Marion...made for a rough Cs night.
Tough OT last night (last 5 seconds were no fun),
Cs' turnovers are mounting, do we have one more run?

Crazy ball movement, BAYLESS FOR THREE!
Crazy ball movement, AB FOR THREE!
Cs--Bayless!--went on a crazy run,
Dirk had no assists til Q4 almost done.

BAYLESS FOR THREE! Then Dirk made a three,
The Cs on him have played great D.
2nd, 3rd, 4th chance Cs shot,
Cs within 1, great steal AB got!!

Again the clock winds down...in these Cs no quit,
Energy, will, hard work, heart...just can't win it.

WHO IS THE SMOOTHIE KING?

Smoothie King (?) Arena, N'Orleans, first road game of two.
Wyc is Rondo's biggest fan, hope his loyalty stays true.
Rivers in the house, not Doc, but his son.
Cs 0 and 13 out West--must win this one!

Good start: Green and Rondo hard to the hoop!
Silly Garanimals sleeved jerseys on our group.
Pellies? 'Cans?...a 13-0 run, in the paint,
All they have to do is go where the Cs ain't.

HUMP IS A BEAST! He stemmed the tide,
Hope in this off-season Cs extend his ride!
BAYLESS FOR THREE! Game has a quick pace,
Besides Bass' 25 guests, this is an empty place.

GREEN FOR THREE! Q1, both 50% shooting,
Cs within 2--Green's horn I am tooting!
AB making his way back, Sully's picks got him going,
Olynyk finding the hoop with just a narrow lane showing.

OLYNYK FOR THREE! JOHNSON FOR THREE!
Fancy passing from Pressey we did see.
Cs a 10-0 run; 'Cans athletic skill don't lack,
Within very few moments they got the lead back.

Bass great hustle, Hump's quick and smart;
Green, Rondo, AB, Olynyk all taking part.
GREEN FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!
53% shooting (Green 20), Cs up 7 start Q3!

Cs continue to hustle, BAYLESS FOR THREE!
'Cans won't go away, now they're playing some D.
'Cans an 10-0 run, again took the lead,
Suddenly offense from the Cs is what we need.

Green had a great first half, seemed to fade Q3,
Needs better passes to him! JOHNSON FOR THREE!
Three quarters of this game did fly by,
To start Q4 Cs and 'Cans in a tie.

PRESSEY FOR THREE! Rivers can get to the rim,
Sully keeps shooting that three. Brad has to stop him.
Sully stopped (with a two!) 'Cans' 8-0 run,
Just for a moment...then the game wasn't fun.

Cs' turnovers are mounting, shooting isn't the same.
Ref Workman the only one who came from the game.
GREEN FOR THREE! Hump steal! Smart play,
"Score! Stop! Score!" is all Brad had to say.

Ok, I apologize! SULLY FOR THREE!
Career high for 'Cans' Davis we did see.
Sully was fouled three times, they called a jump ball?
AB got it--coast to coast--(ugh) out of bounds it did fall.

Roberts best ever percentage (really!) in free throws,
Cs too slow to foul, into his hands it goes.
Green got fouled taking a three, made all three!
Davis, 40 points, amazing shot made he.

BUT HUMP IS A BEAST, at the buzzer!! Love this rhyme:
Hump--what a smile! Going to OVERTIME.
'Cans a 7-0 run, finally the timeout we need,
Cs look tired, it shows in their speed.

Again, I apologize! SULLY FOR THREE!
The out of bounds ball did NOT go off a C!
Could that have been the play, Sully a three again?
He's our go-to guy? Not Green? Rondo? Since when?

Cs down by four, Aminu again fouled Green,
Season high 39, one other time we've seen.
What happened?? Under 5 seconds, Cs DIDN'T FOUL?
AGAIN...WHAT HAPPENED? DID WE THROW IN THE TOWEL?

Tho by 1 the Cs lost (what happened??), here's the thing:
KRIS HUMPHRIES IS OUR SMOOTHIE KING.

KNICKSED

Second of a back-to-back, tonight Rondo won't play.
Melo says Phil won't affect his decision to stay!
Despite tough losses, in these Celtics there's no quit,
Speaks to the character of the guys who are part of it.

Best: Offensive Rebounding, that's our spot--
Doesn't that mean we just can't make a shot?
Three threes for Melo, then BAYLESS FOR THREE!
Knicks are scoring at will, Cs are playing soft D.

JOHNSON FOR THREE! Cs went on a 6-0 run,
Not enough to get much done.
Knicks making threes, what can the Cs do?
Cs within 12 to start Q2.

Hump is a beast! Pressey adds pace.
Gotta do something to light up our place!
Good vision, Pressey, he's very good with the pass,
Memorable play--one of very few!--Pressey to Bass.

Cs a miserable night,
Knicks doing everything right!
Knicks a 68-point half, it's "reigning" (9 of 10) threes,
Within 20 end Q2 are our Rondo-less Cs.

Doesn't the Law of Averages say things have to change?
We need Green--someone!!--to find his range.
BAYLESS FOR THREE! PRESSEY FOR THREE!
HUMP'S A BEAST! Great block! Great D!

GREEN FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!
Cs c'mon--missing the throws that are free?
GREEN FOR THREE! THIS IS THE GREEN WE WANT!
Leading the Cs--deserves capital letter font!

Lead cut in half, Cs within 10 end Q3.
Pressey has potential--needs that League with a D.
Brad always tells the guys to play the next play,
I guess Melo paid attention to what Brad had to say.

BAYLESS FOR THREE! BAYLESS FOR THREE!
Still, and always, a little fight in every C.
That goes for Brad, too; up he keeps his chin.
Cs end down 24. Love the Nets over Heat win!

PACING OURSELVES

Brad's hometown, against the Pacers tonight.
Hump opened the game doing everything right.
The Pacers got off to a very slow start,
I like to think the Cs (Hump) played with heart!

Two early fouls on George, Rondo took a hard charge,
A Bynum sighting--he has skill and he is large!
Matching early fouls on Bass, again setting that screen.
Bynum's productive. Cs need plays set for Green.

Cs within 2 to start Q2,
Bynum's changed the game--like he used to do.
Babb gives his all every time he does play,
He wants to earn more than a second ten day.

After a brief shooting slump, JOHNSON FOR THREE!
You can tell he's excited just to be a C!
JOHNSON FOR THREE! Scola is having a game,
So is Turner, off the bench since he came.

Tough half for Green, finally went hard to the hoop.
Not the usual stars for the Indiana group.
Little from Green, Rondo--Cs within 9 start Q3.
Green still struggling, go to the hoop should he!

George, Stephenson invisible, Pacers showing little heart,
Keeping their lead because of the guys who do not start.
West is tonight's Pacer, so many shots he is open,
Celtics' Defense? They're doing lots of hopin'.

Stephenson, mostly George, mid-Q3 came to life,
Cs still dealing with widespread shooting strife.
At my TV every Cs game I shout:
PLEASE, JEFF GREEN--it's time to bust out!

Double team Bynum, a play big guys are not fond o'--
Good job forcing turnovers, Green and Rondo!
Great second chance points, Cs within 8 start Q4,
Offensive fouls on the Pacers, throwing Cs to the floor.

SULLY FOR THREE! Green spoke in the huddle about D,
Some vintage Rondo we are excited to see!
Cs keep getting within one, Pacers have that pest,
The one who didn't choose Boston--David West.

Bynum double double in his first game in years,
His lack isn't skill, it's been between his ears.
Stephenson showed up, under three minutes to go.
Sully offensive rebounds his stat line will show!

Babb crucial double dribble, you could tell he felt "babb,"
Especially when Sully a 50-50 ball did grab.
After dropping four in a row, Pacers play was flat,
Neither the crowd nor management is happy with that.

These Cs don't quit, by 11 we did not win,
Mostly 'cause the ball just wouldn't stay in!

MOTOR PITY

Celebrate that the Lakers and Bulls won the day!
Hope the length of the Pistons won't get in our way.
Expecting to see a high scoring game,
Pistons blocking shots, Cs the same!

Hump and Bass great, each with a Rondo assist,
Cs to open the game--many easy shots missed.
Hump is aggressive! JOHNSON FOR THREE!
Great sight on the bench--tho in a suit--is AB!

On 40% shooting, Cs up 4 start Q2,
Babb, Sully, Olynyk, Bayless, Pressey--phew!
Bavetta keeps whistling the defensive three sec,
But never calls for Olynyk--what the heck!

All the players and Brad would like to grab,
10 days more--and more--of Chris Babb.
Olynyk/Pressey confident! GREEN FOR THREE!
This Celtics Ball is fun to see!

Assists: every 72 minutes Drummond averages one...
Cs up 8 when Q2 was done.
RONDO FOR THREE! GREEN FOR THREE!
GREEN FOR THREE! FOR THREE! BAYLESS FOR THREE!

Cs stopped moving the ball, slowed down the pace,
Didn't last long, Green lit up our place!
As the shot clock ran down, JOHNSON FOR THREE,
OLYNYK FOR THREE! Cs made seven in Q3!

Cs best Q3 of the year, up 11 start Q4,
Rondo great--no TOs!--both ends of the floor.
Pressey does well staying in front of his guy,
Bayless hard to the hoop--he can fly!

Hump is a beast! Love his cheering with the crowd!
Nice pass, Hump! Sully's dunk was loud!
All of the Pistons front court has a double double,
But Cs, especially Green, causing too much trouble!

Six Cs in double figures, Rondo's assists season high.
Pistons attacking every possession, Cs slowed down...sigh.
Will Bynum, by himself, took on the Cs every play.
Huge block and rebound Hump, double double--hooray!

Cs WIN--by 7--it's a glorious day,
We played an uptempo team, and it went our way!
Somebody pinch me, is this a dream?
Cs found chemistry and played like a team!

"LIFE IS FOR LIVING, NOT FOR LIVING UP TIGHT." Jay-Z

This year the talk of tanking has been annoying,
Hearing that management and players with fans are toying.
Cs must learn from these losses, take them in stride,
Begin to trust each other and show Celtics Pride.

Easier night for Pierce, back to the Gahden but no KG.
Jason Collins is a Net--good for him, glad to see.
Cs 4 turnovers, first 4 minutes of the game,
Unlike vs Golden State, with energy they came!

Good start Hump, Bass, Green. RONDO FOR THREE!
Bayless crossover dribble, Nets not much D (no KG).
RONDO FOR THREE! Worked with Adams on his shot,
17 his most in any year. This year: already 19 he has got.

RONDO FOR THREE (20)! Rondo played all of Q1,
Had 13 points,  Cs up 6 when it was done.
OLYNYK FOR THREE! BABB (yes, Babb) FOR THREE!
BABB FOR THREE(again), Olynyk's spin move--did you see?

Faverani had knee surgery--sad--out for the season is he.
Healing bone bruise in his ankle, we may soon see AB.
Cs rebounding and aggressive, flexing their muscle,
Second chance shots, 50-50 balls, showing some hustle!

Nets 0 for 17 shooting the three,
Rondo: 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists has he!
Globetrotter Rondo fell--kept dribbling, like he used to do!
Despite 13 turnovers, Cs up 12 end Q2.

Rondo to Green, alley-oop!
Hump: two blocks, great play, against his old group!
Ball hit the official, means it's out of bounds--
Turnover for the Cs? On what grounds?

Nets went on an 18-4 run.
Finally Green stopped their run and gun.
SULLY FOR THREE! Block! Running the floor!
(His Dad looks glad) Cs up 8 start Q4.

You know when Bayless scores--he yells, "and One!"
Calling fouls on the Cs, refs having way too much fun.
With five fouls Olynyk, Sully and Bass,
Ball sticking with Rondo, he needs to pass.

BAYLESS FOR THREE! Very few for the Nets,
(Phew) Their three point shooting as bad as it gets.
Cs turnovers got to 28.
Olynyk, Sully, fouled out setting picks--oh, great.

Cs WIN BY 7, they were not up tight!
TOs hard to explain, still it turned out right.
As Fans we'll continue to take this ride,
With games full of Heart and Celtics Pride.
